Lovely and very helpful hosts who speak wonderful English. Rooms are very comfortable (more of a guesthouse than hostel). Stayed here before and after a trek and loved the comfort of the rooms and kindness of the hosts that we extended our stay. Very good value for money, highly recommend to anyone visiting Karakol.

I will say right away: I haven’t t lived in other hostels in Karakol, but this one is the best. This is not just a hostel, this is a community of people who travel, go to tracks, share experiences and have fun. I really like this kind of hostel and highly recommend to stay here. P.S. There are no questions about the living conditions, there are even curtains on the beds ☺️

Great hostel right in the city center close to everything. Sultan at the front desk helped us to find a cab to take us across the boarder & gave us bus info for hikes - thanks legend! We were a bit run down so we just crashed in the room for 2 days and recovered and the room was perfect, own bathroom with a huge shower & comfy beds

I received great hospitality. My late arrival was warmly accepted. The Dungan style meals are very filling, and perhaps the best breakfast that I've received in recent memory from any guest house. The room was comfortably equipped, and I was able to get some work done at a provided desk with strong wifi. Lastly, the host helped arrange a ride for me to visit the animal market on Sunday, which was an interesting cultural event.

Janyl is the owner of the hostel, she is really polite and nice, always helped us. The hostel is really clean, from the rooms, to the bathroom, toilets, common areas, everything is so clean. The common areas is very large, we reserved one night but we are going to stay at least 2 more nights. Thanks Janyl for everything!

While the location is slightly outside of the main part of town, I thought the experience was 100% worth it. The owners have created a magical oasis at Happy Nomad, with comfortable accommodations, tasty food, and a charming setting. The family is absolutely adorable! Highly recommend.

The owner was very friendly and helpful and he gave me a lot of information about everything. The common area and the kitchen were especially good. I met some nice travelers and had a good time together whlie I was staying here. It was such a nice place that I plan to stay here again before long. I got on the minibus from Bishkek Western Bus Station (500 som) at 7:00 am and arrived at Karakol bus station at 12:36 pm. It took less than 6 hours. It was about an hour's walk from Karakol bus station to the hostel. Near the hostel, there is a big store Globus where you can buy anything. Just next to Globus, there is minibus No 101 stop. I can go to Aktilek Bazaar Bus Station and the ticket office to Ala Kul lake by the bus.
