We stayed at Mambo Arusha hostel for two nights before starting our Mount Kilimanjaro trek. The hostel had everything we could need! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast both mornings and loved the dinner that was made fresh for us as well. Our host helped us organize a taxi to Arusha and answered all our questions with ease. The yard and terrace were very pleasant to hangout in and were put to good use when we were laying out our gear the day before the climb.

Enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Joshua and the whole staff are great and very helpful, the hostel is spacious and clean. There is a nice outdoor area and even a fire pit. I had a good time playing with the dogs as well. It's located a few minutes drive from the town center. Will stay here again when I get back to Arusha!

Home Villa Arusha, hostel in Arusha

Rooms have a kettle and a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, while certain rooms are fitted with a kitchen fitted with a fridge. At the hostel all rooms come with bed linen and towels.

We received a very warm welcome. The landlord is more than friendly and helped us with every need. His Home Villa has a nice campfire in the evening, perfect for relaxing after a day of safari. The rooms were clean, everything worked as it should be. I highly recommend this Home Villa as you will certainly feel at Home.

    This property is fantastic for backpackers, budget travellers, woofers and those looking for an environmental stay. The banana and coffee plantation surround the rooms giving wonderful views. Rooms are basic and clean, with eco-generated hot water and electricity. The tour around the property was reasonably interesting. For the price you pay, you can't go wrong.

    We had a fantastic stay at this hostel. Everyone was really friendly and the atmosphere was great. The rooms are comfortable and we felt so safe here. The staff and the owner are lovely people and helped us so much. Outside is a beautiful chill area for just enjoying the evening.We can definitely recommend.

    The staff is realy kind and helpfull. The rooms are fine. You pay a good (cheap) price to stay here and a nice breakfast is included. Dinner is possible, they serve delicious food. We had a lovely stay. I would definetly recommend this hostel, especially for students.

    This is the place to be if you want to feel safe and welcomed! The staff really takes care of you and makes your experience so good.     I stayed at the white house a few weeks and I loved every bit of it! The hostel is big and beautiful, there are little houses outside and the rooms inside are all also nice, with their own bathrooms. The owners are great fun, he help us to organize a 4 Days safari and all the staff were really helpful, becoming like a second family to me. Highly recommend, especially for Tanzania its cheap and great quality

    It was already my fourth time there, I love coming back to this place because of its beautiful location and the great vibe. I previously had a great time meeting new people here, sadly this time there were mostly couples minding their own business. The hostel is gradually expanding, the newer cabins have a great view over the trees with potential monkey viewing.

    The hostel is nice and simple, the staff is kind and available and the price is perfect. Breakfast is served every morning and it's good, and you can order lunch or dinner which are amazing. It is highly recommended for backpackers who are looking for a warm and simple environment. Also, it is outside of the city centre but very easy to reach with the tuk tuk so location is good.

    Arusha has many youth hostels, but a lot of them are in inconvenient and difficult-to-find locations. It's not entirely safe to walk around Arusha after dark, so that can be a problem. Green Garden is in a fantastically central location, but still on a quiet, green side street where you don't hear the city's loud traffic at all. And the grounds of the hostel are really beautiful.
