Taketa Ekimae Hostel cue ligger blot 1 minuts gang fra JR Bungo-Taketa Station og har renoveret træindkvartering. Der er have og terrasse, hvor gæsterne kan slappe af. A wonderful hostel. It's an old Japanese style building, which I found very charming. The dorm rooms and the single rooms are fairly spacious (for hostel standards). Everything is very clean and cozy. There are 2 common areas ( one western style and one Japanese style living room), and a kitchen. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Taketa itself is a very quiet, small place. I did some hikes around town and St Mt aso, though public transport to the trailheads is difficult, so plan that we'll. Breakfast was also lovely (especially the French toast were very tasty!) I extended my stay because I so thoroughly enjoyed being there.

They came to pick us up, and dropped us off the next day at the train station. We were offered a tea with cookies at our arrival, and they informed us about a local festival happening this night. The room and facilities were super neat and clean. Would 100% recommend.

日本旅館 松亀荘 is located in Beppu, within 20 km of Oita Bank Dome and 12 km of Oita Station. The property is around 23 km from Kinrinko Lake, 2.4 km from B-Con Plaza and 2.6 km from Beppu Park. Location was great and room was very comfy. We love the Japanese style ryokan. The facility also has its own onsen and laundromat machines so everything was quite convenient.

The beds were comfortable, and the hostel had good facilities, including a common room, although I didn't use them very much. The hostel is in a good location for a lot of Onsen and the hot springs.
