Heir Island Holiday Homes – The Old BarnThe Old Barn on Heir Island is a pretty holiday cottage which provides wonderful sea views in a magical setting. This unique holiday cottage is a bungalow therefore all rooms are laid out over one floor. A cosy sitting room with woodburning stove and satellite TV (basic package) provides beautiful sea views. The bright kitchen is well equipped providing all the essential you need for a comfortable self-catering holiday in west cork. The kitchen has a large dining room table easily seating 4 guests. This holiday cottage has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 guests: - Double bedroom, sleeping 2 - Twin bedroom, sleeping 2 There is a separate wet room with toilet plus this holiday cottage has a utility room, perfect for extra storage. Plus, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer. Heating and Electricity is an extra charge and payable on arrival.

Your unique holiday experience begins with parking your car on the mainland at Cunnamore Pier. Enjoy a car free holiday and take the 4-minute ferry crossing to the island. You can explore the island at your own pace on foot or on a bicycle. There is a grocery delivery service available, by prior arrangement, 3 times a week. Grocery services on Monday, Wednesday and Friday during June – August and Monday and Friday for the rest of the year. There are also three eating choices on Heir Island, Fuzzy Duck Café, Island Cottage and PizzHeiria. The Fuzzy Duck Café services tasty sweet treats daily and classics such as Claudia’s Gluten Free brownie. The beach is less than a minute away from the café with plenty of “table” space there with an ever-better view!
