Very clean and spacious, attractive room, huge comfortable bed with good quality bed linen, big TV, spacious bathroom, large shower cubicle and great towels, first meal in the restaurant was delicious (beef bourguignon), good local ale at a reasonable price, breakfast was mixed but full English was very good. Dark haired lady on duty on our first night was lovely, friendly and very professional (apologies for not having a name). Contact via the app was good and the code access worked well. We enjoyed our stay.

Set in Dalton in Furness, 35 km from World of Beatrix Potter, Red Lion Rooms - Self Check In offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The inn features family rooms. Lovely rooms and great facilities. Would recommend a visit to the brown cow for a meal, very friendly staff and food was amazing.

The Crown and Cushion Appleby is situated in the market square in the centre of Appleby and features a restaurant, tea-room and bar. Very spacious and clean. The bedrooms were huge. Nice new bathroom. Separate lounge with sofa and dining table. Location was excellent, right in the middle of Appleby, but the apartment was very quiet.

Built around 1590 as a miner's cottage known as 'Dove Cottage', The Langstrath Country Inn is a small family-run property offering accommodation in Stonethwaite. Parking is available. Amazing location, very friendly staff and super food. With many just having a drink after walking the fells, we felt quite privileged to be staying here

Located in Barrow-in-Furness, Ormsgill Inn features free WiFi access and free private parking. Guests can enjoy a drink at the on-site bar, as well as the pool table and darts board. Staff were lovely and very attentive, always asking if everything was OK. Breakfast was delicious. Bed was very comfy. Even went above and beyond to change our room as couldn't manage the stairs. Situated in Levens, 18 km from World of Beatrix Potter, The Hare and Hounds, Levens features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Only problem was we didn't have long enough here so are going to have to re visit. Stayed here but wedding at villa Leven's. Rooms/staff/Breakfast first classing. Nothing not to like thanks
