The Red Lion is a Grade 2 listed stone-built coaching inn dating from 1748, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and well situated for Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick, Oxford and The Cotswolds. Red Lion Inn really made an impression on me. It was so incredibly cozy--my room was a tiny attic room, and yet I had everything I needed, and enjoyed snuggling up there. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast and dinners even more, the latter when it got nice and lively at night by the fire. This place is everything you want an English countryside inn to be.

Each of our bedrooms have recently been fully refurbished to offer modern facilities in historic surroundings. Staff were fantastic! They kept the kitchen open so we could eat when we arrived late. The location is just outside of town with a bus close by... perfect. The room was clean and comfortable for a short stay. The double bed was comfy. Having the restaurant available for dinner was very handy and breakfast was just delicious... We were very happy with our stay.

The house keeping ladies were very kind and helpful, particularly Annie who kept an eye on me. The bed was very comfortable with lovely pillows and crisp linen. The room was exceptionally clean, exactly as the photos.
