The house was very modern and in excellent shape. Extremely clean. But the best part was our host, Miguel. He was extremely flexible and accommodating. We were treated better than we would have at a five star resort.

Located in the village of Pena, Góis, Casa do Neveiro is set within the heart of the renowned Villages of Schist. The property offers a rustic décor and is 50 km from Coimbra. A wonderful opportunity to experience the mountains and the Schist villages in central Portugal. The accommodation was authentic and comfortable- our host Gabriel and his lovely Mother were a pleasure to communicate with. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower lovely! We are of average fitness but managed to do the 9km loop walk through the main villages which was absolutely beautiful. The village of Pena is so peaceful and and scenic. I would highly recommend this accommodation and experience- it is an absolutely unique!

Casa do Manego is a rustic inn located in Quadrazais, 8 km from Sabugal. Surrounded by nature and great outdoor areas, this property provides free WiFi. we don’t give easily full 5 stars, but Casa do Manego fully deserves it. Stunning view, very complete room with separate bedrooms, lots of nice details! the place was spic&span, nothing to wish for. Reality is better than the pictures on the website. Very good value for money! thanks for having us

She helped to advise us with our plans and she made us feel very welcome. We have food alergies and she assisted us with arranging our dinner at the restaurant on site. Chef Rui was also very helpful and cooked us a wonderful meal which we enjoyed very much. The views and rooftop area were very special. We can't wait to return!
