The room was very clean and well organised. The amenities were good. The complimentary breakfast was good, and had a good variety. Location-wise, the hotel was a walkable distance to Himeji station and Himeji Castle. It was great that there was a 7-Eleven right next to it.

You can walk under covered streets the whole way if it's raining. The owner is super nice, even gave us some free cake! It's 100 yen to rent a towel, but I feel that's reasonable. They were incredibly helpful and hospitable, and had a host of suggestions for us to make the most of our brief stay, including sharing his supplies so we could enjoy the local bath house. Very attentive hosts! Himeji isn't a bustling metropolis so we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the local neighbourhood. Excellent location, a short walk to the main sights and Himeji station. Thank you again Tomo-san!
