This is wehere the citizens head on weekends! We liked just walking about, taking in the atmosphere, stopping in the beer gardens and cafes and visiting the "Village Museum" (a ticket there means you can enter and leave several times in the day the ticket is issued). If you can stay in rooms or a hotel near the south end of the park - you also get a metro stop with a direct rounte into the town centre.

I was there with my daughter and her fiancee for 1 week, and the bedrooms solution worked very well for us, as well as the whole apartment. We were very close to my mother's place (same street), and we had very close supermarkets (Mega Image). We loved the location as we could walk to Kisselef park, and P-ta Victoriei, and we actually walked to Herastrau Park too to enjoy the lake and nature. So, all in all very pleasant host and experience :-)RalucaNorway

My only suggestion would be to add more cups/mugs. We were 3 people but only had 2 cups. This was only a minor inconvenience. The place was otherwise great: close to transportation, shops, restaurants and the Herastrau park. 30-40 min on foot from 2 malls. Thank you for the "welcome" bonbons. I'd recommend the place to anyone
