I am unsure why this lodge has a 2-star rating on Booking; it should have at least 4 stars. Here's why: 1. The location: It is spectacular; you don't see anything else but mountains and hills surrounding this lodge. Rincon de la Vieja National Park is in its backyard, providing several activities to do either independently or with a tour guide. We opted for guided tours offered by the Rinconcito Lodge (note that not all tour guides speak English). We took the horseback ride tour, starting at the Rinconcito. We rode for 45 minutes to the Santa Maria Rangers Station (entrance fee not included in the tour price). After leaving the horses at the Ranger station, we walked to the hot springs, the Morpho Waterfall, and the enchanted forest. I also highly recommend the canopy/zipline tour; we did 7 lines of canopy, and the views from the largest lines were breathtaking. The entire experience was amazing! 2. The room: The bed was comfortable, and the room (we had the mountain view room) was exactly as described in the Booking listing, with a mini fridge and AC which we did not need to use because the temp in that room was perfect. There were no surprises, except for the fact that we were amazed by how beautiful the room and the views were in real life. Waking up every morning to the sounds of colibris and other birds was simply amazing! 3. Public areas: All public areas are well-maintained and clean. We spent hours in the hammocks by the pool, and the pool itself was clean and well-kept. We absolutely loved it. 4. The restaurant: It was fantastic, albeit a bit pricey. The food was well worth it! Breakfast was included so that was a huge plus. Their drinks and desserts were fantastic too. We had the best food in Costa Rica at the Rinconcito Lodge. 5. The staff: They truly have a fantastic staff who care about their guests having a great time. We felt so welcomed, as if we were family :)

Vida Aventura Nature Park asub 54 km kaugusel Playa Hermosast ja 16 km kaugusel Rincon de La Vieja rahvuspargist. Külalised saavad kasutada tasuta WiFi-ühendust ja kohapeal on eraparkla. Jorge was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. The property was wonderful; the pool / jacuzzi area were great to spend the evening in watching the sun set. And the hiking trails were a fun way to see many local birds (along with a great canine tour guide).

Such a beautiful place! I regret we didn't stay longer! The cabins are well equipped, beds are comfortable, everything very clean. Surrounded by a beautiful garden, with a pond and many many plants and trees. We also enjoyed our breakfast while watching hummingbirds. Not too complicated to find, but Google maps was sometimes a bit confused and sent us on a unnecessary detour.

Santa Rosa rahvuspark on 49 km kaugusel. Hotellis Rincón de la Vieja Lodge on restoran, aed, ühine puhkeruum ja terrass. Puhkemajakeses on tasuta WiFi-ühendus ja eraparkla. Very serene and beautiful environment surrounded by nature. This is the place if you want to relax. Perfect location for exploring the national park and a day trip to the nearby adventure park. The lodge is well maintained and very spacious. There's good food options at the restaurant. Staff are nice.

Hacienda Guachipelin Volcano Ranch Hotel & Hot Springs is located at the foot of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, in north-west Costa Rica. The beauty of the surroundings, the nice welcome at the reception desk, the email alerting us to sign up for the hot tub time and for dinner. I loved that we could stay on the property for some hours after checkout time which was great for enjoying more of the beauty.

Casa Rural Aroma de Campo on omapärane B&B, mis asub kaunil maapiirkonnal Rincon de la Vieja rahvuspargi lähedal. Kohapeal on looduslikud allikad ja köök, kus pakutakse maitsvaid Costa Rica toite. Location was super close to Las Pailas sector of Rincon de la vieja national park as well as Catarata La Leona. The owner was very helpful and kind in offering recommendations/suggestions. The room was very private, comfortable and surrounded by nature. Coffee in the room!! Breakfasts were delish and if you get to have dinner, do it! The dogs, Blue and Lily, and the parrot Koki, were an added bonus. Blue and Lily are so friendly and Koki is constant entertainment.

Cabaña la granja asub Santa Rosa rahvuspargist 45 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on tasuta WiFi-ühendus ja tasuta eraparkla.

Suure aiaga ümbritsetud Buena Vista del Rincón asub Rincon de la Viejas. Kohapeal on järv, puidust bangalod ja ökoturismiga seotud tegevused. Saadaval on tasuta WiFi-ühendus. very nice and pure was lovely

Guayaboses asuvas majutusasutuses Pochote Lodge on tasuta WiFi-ühendus, aed, ühine puhkeruum ja terrass. Pochote Lodge was a comfortable and beautiful place for us to spend a few days. Don't expect fancy but if you are looking for a genuine experience, comfortable accommodations, and a beautiful location then this is it! Francisco and Veronica were kind and generous hosts and we loved the home-cooked breakfasts. An ideal location for our family to explore the area.
