The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Even though some of them didn’t speak very good English, they made a lot of effort to communicate with us. And they were very patient with our many requests. They also allowed us to check in earlier and check our later with no additional fees. Truly the best staff. The place looks better in real life than in the photos. It really has a colonial vibe. The AC worked perfectly - probably the best we experienced during our trip to Cabo Verde. We had an amazing view of the city, the sea and the Brava island (room no 9)

Struttura pulitissima, staff eccellente, posizione perfetta: grazie a Big Game abbiamo potuto vivere al meglio il nostro soggiorno a Maio. Siamo stati coccolati come in una famiglia, lo staff ci ha aiutato molto e anche i pasti sono stati superlativi con prodotti di qualità e sapori capoverdiani e italiani. Consigliamo - oltre alla struttura in generale e e al ristorante - anche il noleggio dei quad per scoprire ogni angolo della meravigliosa Maio. Che dire, se potessimo daremmo un voto superiore al 10!

Edificio Cosec Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Cova Figueira. The staff especially the owner Toni were so helpful in arranging transfers and organising our stay. The room was very nice and the swimming pool was great. The evening we stayed there coincided with an amazing event celebrating Women of Cape Verde with a banquet, disco and excellent live musicians. Toni helped us plan our walking tour to Alcatraz and Faja which was excellent. The hotel's location is good if you are planning hikes in the area (which is cooler than most of the island) such as around Estancia Roque and along the coast. The paths are well marked. Finally Toni made sure we got back to Sao Filipe ok when the normal aluguers werent't running as it was a holiday. I wish them all the lu ck in the world in making the hotel a success.
