The overall experience was great. Friendly staff at the reception and rooftop bar, they were helpfull in helping us renting out a car and navigating the city during the Holy Week processions. Room desing was laid-back luxurious with enough space for a few day vacation. The breakfast on the sixth floor was abundant with a spectacular view of the cathedral and mountains. My wife loved the small details such as travel quotes and recommendation by staff in the elevator.

Located 300 metres from La Rada Beach, Hotel Silken El Pilar Andalucia offers 4-star accommodation in Estepona and features a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. We loved this hotel and the location, however, we misunderstood the location. We were advised that we could not drive to or park at the hotel but needed to park at a garage. It would have been helpful to tell us which exit to use because we ended up unnecessarily dragging heavy luggage along the boulevard to get to the hotel. Other than that is was a lovely stay with a beautiful rooftop bar that provided views of the area.

This hotel is fabulous. I have stayed in several hotels in the Costa del Sol and I think I have found my perfect hotel. The staff was friendly and nice without exception. But it was the softy sunbeds (a small charge per day and you have to book) right on the beach where the cove beaches were just perfect. No loud blaring music. Just peaceful and warm and calm. The food was fresh and varied. Fresh Fresh salads and fruit and every type of wonderful food for the British Isles taste. Wish I was back there!

The proximity of the expressway makes it easy to get to the city, the beaches of Costa del Sol or to the mountains. Location of the apartment was excellent with access to the beach and boardwalk only a couple of minutes walk. Facilities were good with a fully equipped kitchen although the La Cala area has so many great eating options they were little used! All in all a really great holiday and strongly recommended for those looking for a more laid back Costa Del Sol experience.

From the checkin through breakfast the staff were welcoming and helpful. I was in the area for two days for some golf before Christmas and the hotel location is perfect for any travel around the Costa del Sol. The layout is like a retro motel and the casino was fun and a real bonus.
