We got there in February and found out that the property is well prepared for freezing conditions - it was hot inside both in the evening and the next morning. We also liked the terrace, but could not use it much because of the weather. An excellent place to stay in Capileira (if it is available at all).

We spent three nights at the end of our three weeks in Spain and would have been happy to stay longer. Mother and daughter, Paula and Megan, are wonderful hosts and a delight to get to know. Make sure to plan for dinner and breakfast there as Megan is an outstanding chef. Our meals were fresh, creative, and so attentively prepared, the best we had on her entire trip. The hotel has super comfy beds and spectacular views and is easy to find with parking on site. Berchules was a charming village to explore and we loved the 25-minute walk down to the river with a place to picnic, read, or wade in the water. We highly recommend this hotel. On a side note, the drive to Berchules is an epic drive on a comfortably winding 2 lane road. Plan to give yourself plenty of time to savor the views and photo opportunities.

Honestly, he made an experience that could have completely ruined our trip into just a minor blip. Thank you, Francisco.
