Featuring a private beach and free use of snorkelling equipment and kayaks, Oneta Resort offers bungalows just metres from the blue waters of Astrolabe Reef. The property is amazing - the staff super caring and attentive! Beautiful dive spots all around: I’m grateful I had the opportunity to dive although I was the only guest willing to do so.

Remote Fijian island to get away from it all
Ono Island is a remote island 1 1/2 to 2 hours boat ride from Kadavu Island airport. Remote by most standards, there are few amenities on the island not provided by the hotels. The island is close to the cleaning spot for Manta Rays, and there are amazing dive and snorkel locations around the island - where you can see soft corals, reef sharks, sea turtles, many different species of small reef fishes and the Manta Rays. There are 4 villages on the island, but no roads connect them. All transport around the island is by boat. This leaves white sand beaches to contemplate life on alone, and reefs that are protected by and contribute to the wealth of the villages (a share of your dive or snorkel trip is given to the village funds). Take any snacks that you might want with you as there are not local shops to buy them in.
