The property is more for self-starters, with the ability to attend mass at the Island's historic church or shop in local markets just outside the entrance...it is not an isolated all-inclusive resort. It is nicely integrated into Island life. The wonderful staff will arrange anything you might want to do in or around the Island. The excellent restaurant with stunning views across the Somosomo Straight is a highlight.

Fantastic location, super comfortable home, amazing caretakers...Robert and Vinna were the BEST!!! They helped us with whatever we needed... meals, activities, massage, friendly conversation. We couldn't have been happier with our experience at Vale Sekoula!!

Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages offers beachfront accommodation in Matei on Taveuni Island. Each cottage has a private sun terrace and the resort offers massages in a private beach bure. Oceanfront location with proximity to other services if needed (grocery store, airport, other resort restaurants). Small number of guest cottages/guests on site. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We appreciated all of the information provided before we arrived to insure a comfortable and pleasant experience. Excellent snorkeling within a short boat ride from the property.

Situated a short walk from Taveuni Beach, Maravu Taveuni Lodge offers accommodation with access to the beach and a colorful and vibrant reef. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The overall experience was amazing, each one made us feel home. We extended our stay because of how great the experience was. We stayed in the villa which has an outstanding view. You can book a ton of activities at the reception. And it's a family owned place which makes you feel you are part of the family. Thank you everyone for this :)

Nastanitev Camp Taveuni je v Mateiju in nudi teraso za sončenje z bazenom, vrt ter bar, na voljo pa je tudi brezplačen WiFi. Our stay at camp Taveuni was a highlight for us on a long term trip. Allen & Mary are really attentive hosts, always asking if we needed anything and Alan was happy to lend a hand booking activities or a ride to any guests if he was on his way into Matei. On top of that he maintained a really laid back atmosphere at the resort, being really accommodating with meals (and they were great and affordable! - If you’re diving, get the muesli with local yogurt :)) & happy to share a beer and a good story or two! He’s built the place himself, and our dome was like a much-needed oasis from the heat of the day and sounds in the night that might wake us (roosters…). The bath facilities were spacious and clean, with great water pressure in the shower. Clean drinking water was provided and the view from the pool is lovely (the place is on a hillside with sea views). It’s up a hill off the main road, but it only takes ~5 min or less to go up or down. We really loved our stay here and met some other great backpackers. Would highly recommend it, it’s excellent value. Thanks so much Allen & Mary!!

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Taveuni Dive Resort is located near Soqulu, 9km from Waiyevo. Free WiFi Access in public areas is available in this resort. resort room is clean and tidy, food is nice. Everyone is helpful and dive masters are professional.
