Situated in Edinburgh and with Royal Yacht Britannia reachable within less than 1 km, Ocean Mist Leith features express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, a terrace, free WiFi throughout the... The location was well placed for us, and it was easy to jump on the main tram. I cannot emphasize this enough. We should have stayed more nights. For the same price as some central accomodations you get to sleep on a boat. Cleanliness was top notch, and everything on the ship was well put together and design wise spoke to each other. Staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast area is beautiful. The bathroom looks amazing. You will not see such tiling in real buildings.

What's not to like. I mean, this sure was the best place I stayed during my whole trip in Scotland. The rooms and facilities are just like in the pictures. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the attention to detail is on point. The breakfast freshly prepared every morning by Susan and Kevyn is amazing and delicious. The location is really good because you are close to the city centre and lots of local restaurants and cafes. It is a 20-minute walk to the Royal Mile, or you can take the buses that come and go very frequently. The neighbourhood is quiet, so it's perfect to rest after a day of sightseeing. The hosts, Susan and Kevyn, are simply the best. I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay to finish my vacation in Scotland. When I come back, I will most definitely stay here again and if you have the chance... do it because you will not regret it.

For more than three days take the weekly ridacard for tram and buses (and to the airport too). It is not available in the ariport, in the Lothian travel agency only. Save money. Don't miss: the Castle, the Rosslyn Chapel outside Edinburgh, the Royal Britannia ship. Walk over the Calton Hill Walk through the narrow streets of the city. Walk in the Dean village inside the city. Try whisky especially the "Islay" ones.

Princes Street, Calton ill, holyroodhouse e Leith (royal Britannia)... sono posti da visitare...Pizzeria che consiglio è la Favorita a Leith (sono pugliesi)...😀😀😀🔝🔝🔝 in una settimana si visita tutta la città e con il bus 900 puoi visitare Glasgow in un giorno. Consiglio di fare 4 gg perché Edilburgo non è economica come città 😁😄😄 Infine...una volta atterrati all'aeroporto a Weverly o Haymarket conviene fare l'abbonamento della compagnia Lothian. Ps se siete studenti avete diritto allo sconto.

il castello è stupendo,la residenza di holirood,chiesa di san geil,royal mile soprattutto in agosto con il fringe festival,il tatoo festival.Ci sono numerosi pub dove si mangia e si beve bene,abbiamo mangiato molto bene al mussel-stike cozze meravigliose;un locale italiano bar italia restaurant in lothian road dove si mangia un'ottima pizza e della pasta buonissima.A edimburgo ci si sposta benissimo con bus e tram, abbiamo trovato comodo il day-ticket si può girare un giorno intero con 4 pound.Molto comodo anche il servizio airlink dall'aeroporto con 4,5 pound.Per ultimo devo fare i complimenti al popolo scozzese per la grande cordialitità e disponibilità, mai trovata a Londra;forse avevano ragione ad avercela con gli inglesi.

città bellissima,rilassante e molto sicura.
città bellissima,rilassante e molto sicura.molti monumenti storici e attività complementari per ogni età e gusto, il centro old town facilissimo da visitare a piedi. per le distanze un po' più lunghe la lothian (compagnia che gestisce i bus) funziona perfettamente (scaricate l'app, comprate i biglietti e dopo la loro attivazione è sufficiente mostrare la pagina con biglietti all'autista). consiglio di non limitarsi alla città ma di utilizzare i tanti tour offerti per visitare i dintorni. Gli scozzesi sono veramente molto gentili e disponibili.

Città stupenda ! Unico neo : in certi vicoli troppa sporcizia.Consiglio di estendere la visita ai Lothian , zona limitrofa, alla scoperta di castelli e magnifici scorci sul mare. Gli spostamenti in treno o autobus sono facili. Un "must" é di assaggiare l' Haggis !!

Se c'è brutto tempo consiglio di visitare le chiese o in alternativa il centro commerciale Ocean Terminal, dal quale si accede al Royal Yacht Britannia.
