This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking. The hotel was beautiful. Everything was decorated beautifully. Our room was so big and the beds were nice and comfy.

Situated in Virginia, 16 km from Loughcrew Historical Gardens & Visitor Centre, St Kyrans Guest House features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. A welcoming home away from home! I had a wonderful weekend stay. The bedroom was large and comfortable with loch view, the bed welcoming. The breakfast as many others have said was epic! Freshly prepared for me every morning. And the most wonderful hosts, truly felt like visiting family. Highly recommended and can’t wait to return :)

Situated in Cavan, within 17 km of Maudabawn Cultural Centre and 25 km of Monastery of Kells, The Bailie features accommodation with a bar and as well as free private parking for guests who drive. On first impression you would think a 2 star would be sub standard parts of it is just the decor & well worn setting in the front bar however the rooms are of a 4 star quality ( brand new refurbished) there is alot to aesthetically but the welcome we recieved was second to none nothing was a problem . The beds are super comfortable along with an excellent shower & complimentary toiletries/ tea coffee . The food was great value for money and the burgers delicious, staff although all young had excellent customer service skills . We had to leave early and the chef came in 1hr earlier to ensure we had a breakfast, and gave us fresh fruit salad and homemade scones to go . Thanks to Pat for opening up the dining room earlier . We will definitely return .

Ideally located on the outskirts of Cavan, the Cavan Crystal Hotel is less than 5 minutes' drive from the town centre. The reception staff went above and beyond to help me when my luggage got left at my previous hotel, they made calls and sorted out various ways to get it back to me.

Set in attractive landscaped gardens, Hotel Kilmore is in the heart of Ireland's Lakeland District, offering comfortable rooms, a restaurant and 2 bars. Cavan Town is a short drive away. I have to give a HUGE praise to the staff. They are so naturally welcoming, kind and accommodating. You just feel this friendly atmosphere around. Nothing is ever a problem.

In 1,300 acres of country estate, the luxurious Farnham Estate Spa and Golf Resort has a spa with an outdoor infinity pool, forest walkways and an 18-hole golf course. Cavan Town is 3 km away. The spa and meals were outstanding. The pool and spa area was fantastic, very relaxing. Every meal we had for the 2 days was amazing, couldn't fault it.

Situated in the centre of Cavan town on the main street, The Farnham Arms Hotel features a bar and restaurant. Great location in County Cavan town. Wonderful staff. Comfortable rooms with a lift for those heavy bag.
