We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

This property is near Akranes Harbour and 1.3 km from Akranes Museum Centre. It offers a pretty, hedged garden and a large, furnished terrace. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Everything! Very warm welcome by Nice poeple who just want you to enjoy Iceland !

We had an amazing stay and felt really at home. It is a very welcoming place and the big windows allow a beautiful view. And the kitchen is provided with everything you need.The silence, the snow, the backdrop of the mountain was absolutely magical.

Such a beautiful atmosphere, quiet, and welcoming. It was a very good distance to locations we visited. Would definitely recommend to family/friends and come back again.

Set in Akranes in the West Iceland region, Bard Cottage features a terrace and garden views. This property offers access to a patio, and free WiFi. Perfect place to relax after day of exploring. Beautiful, comfortable and cosy house, great attention to details. Nice sorroundings, house is in a small forrest with little lake and mountain views behind. We especially loved hot tube on the deck. Wonderful and caring hosts are always ready to help and provide advice. We highly recomnend Bard cottage to other travellers.

The place is really big and clean, and we had a fully equipped kitchen. The location was amazing, and we couldn't ask for a better view, it was outstanding. The host was really sweet and helpful, and she was really accomodating ! In bonus, we were welcomed by horses and a dog.
