Earlier that day, we could enjoy the amazing cultural songs of the oiwake in nearby Esashi and then relax at the hot springs at the accommodation. A delicious breakfast was cooked by the friendly local staff.

Hosts are more than Hosts - helped with every detail needing clarification. Found me a fly fishing guide and shared wonderful food and drinks with me. Location is remote (not far from the bullet train tracks that hiss by - not bothersome) but close to Hakodate, hiking and nice local onsen. Hakodate is definitely a unique Japanese city, very laid-Back, interesting history and on the verge of becoming a major tourist attraction - so visit soon.

Toyoko Inn Hokkaido Shin Hakodate Hokuto eki Minami guchi, Hokuto'da Goryokaku Parkı'na 17 km ve Hakodate Goryokaku'ya 18 km uzaklıkta yer almaktadır. I limped into the hotel accompanied by 2 JR Railway people, because I had taken a bad fall on a station escalator. The hotel staff was caring and also quick to understand that I needed to be in a room and resting. They also quickly understood I needed some ice for my eye which was turning black. They also helped me getting my 2 bags to the room. The hotel had a “curry service” for dinner, which wasn’t advertised through Booking, but was a delicious surprise. I had to leave before having any breakfast, but I had experienced an amazing breakfast buffet at another one of their hotels at Narita airport. When I say amazing, I mean amazing. I like this hotel chain, and think that it has incredible value for what I paid. I will be at another one of their hotels when I arrive in Shinjuku.

Amenities were great including the hot bath and cute slippers. Their laundry facility was super efficient and they serve delicious breakfast
