Very warm welcome from the staff and beautiful grounds and buildings. The room was spacious and clean as was the ensuite. The food was beautiful, we had curry and rice for dinner and a quaint English breakfast of toast, marmalade and eggs. The soft juices served on arrival and at breakfast would be enough to make me want to return.

Our experience at Wildhideaway Wilpattu was the highlight of our Srilanka trip. It is an amazing experience. Situated right on the edge of Wilpattu National park these minimalist cottages provide an authentic feeling of oneness with nature. The srilankan cuisine served every evening was a curated menu of traditional Srilankan dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Served under the starlight the lantern lit dinners were highly enjoyable and very relaxing. The main reason we would always choose wildhideaway wilpattu to stay and safari with is its owner Mr Anto. His inimitable passion and dedication towards wildlife and photography is inspiring. He keeps himself aware on the animal sightings to give those who safari with him a greater chance of of catching a glimpse of these majestic creatures. On our safari we saw, leopards, elephant, sloth bear, hyena, python, crocodile and several others. The stay was simple comfortable. The rooms have been thoughtfully and sustainably designed. Tea and breakfast can be had while relaxing on the verandah. The stay at Wildhideaway Wilpattu taste of the raw beauty of Srilankan wilderness the memories will last us a lifetime.

Situated in Anuradhapura, 3 km from Kada Panaha Tank, Yaluwa Tourist Rest & cooking class features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Yaluwa Tourist Rest and Cookery is just about the sweetest place on earth to relax. It is a small and friendly family run establishment with just a few rooms located in a lush garden setting. My room was palacial with a comfortable king bed, mini refrigerator, bottled drinking water and stylish bathroom. Everything was clean and fresh, including the AC. They have a lovely garden nook where I was treated to complete and tasty breakfasts. The place is run by an adorable couple, Supun and Chaya, who were just the best! They helped me figure out what to do and how to do it in the 3 days I spent in Anuradhapura. For a small fee I rented a bicycle from Supun and Chaya and took a leisurely ride around the countryside. Highly recommended!! I also took Chaya’s cookery class which was a ton of fun. You will learn to make 7 Sri Lankan dishes using ingredients that are readily available outside of Sri Lanka. Take notes! And be prepared for a filling meal afterwards, so book in the afternoon and come hungry. Of note: you do not need to stay at Yaluwa to take the cookery class. Just contact Chaya to set up a time. Like many small hotels and home stays in Anuradhapura, Yaluwa Tourist Rest and Cookery is located a few km out from the center of town on a small, quiet road. I used a bicycle one day and a tuk tuk the next to visit various ruins and get around town. Yaluwa will arrange a tuk tuk for you if you want to explore the ruins that way. The hospitality and kindness at Yaluwa Tourist Rest and Cookery was outstanding. A fantastic value that I highly recommend!

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay at Saubagya Inn. My room was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful decor. There’s good water pressure with hot water. My hosts were welcoming and made me feel like a member of the household. Mayon is the cutest little boy!! Wi-Fi was fast. I had my favorite meal during my whole trip here—beef rendang served with breadfruit curry, raita, and papadam. Nice outdoor roof covered seating to relax after a day of exploring. Property also offers bike rentals.

Located in a lush green and serene environment, Hotel Heladiv is located 6 km away from the SLAF Anuradhapura Airport. Free WiFi access is available. The hotel is set in a romantic garden of coconut palms and has a clean swimming pool big enough to take a few swimming strokes and relax aching legs after a day exploring pagodas and archaeological remains. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, clean, as was the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and tries to ensure a pleasant stay for the guests. There is also a restaurant in the garden, which serves very good breakfast and dinner. We would definitely come back.

The breakfast, lunch and dinner was superb. The foods are vary delicious and fresh. Same as the staff was very friendly. The location where the hotel is located is very good.
