Surrounded by picturesque mountain views, Birds Paradise Hotel provides charming accommodation in Kalawana. Authentic Sri Lankan-style meals can be enjoyed at the on-site restaurant. The wonderful place to stay, friendly owner (Nimal), the best rice and curry we've ever tried in Sri Lanka! The room has all basic things you need: comfortable bed and pillows, hot shower with good water pressure, AC. The hotel surrounded by forest, just 2 mins to Sinharaja NP office, but many endemic animals can be seen right from your balcony! I've photographed a couple of grey hornbills (male and female), blue magpie and even purple-faced langurs (thanks to Nimal again!). We've spent just one night there, but it's definitely worth a longer stay if you have enough time to relax in peaceful jungle area. P.S. Inside Sinharaja forest we were guided by Nadika (ask her at the national park office). She's a good guide and even found a pair of Sri Lanka frogmouths for us [you're hardly find these birds yourself ;)]

We had a lovely two day stay at Vini Villa, the facilities are great (clean and large shower and large bed), the Sri Lankan food that Vini's wife prepares is really good. We did the 6h day tour with Vini in the reserve and the night tour. Both were great, saw plenty of lizards, insects and birds and went swimming in the waterfall. Can only recommend, we had a very pleasant stay.

If you are a nature lover,this is the best place you should be.....I spent some wonderful days at Rainforest Mount Villa. The view and landscape is something special-amazing - the villas are right inside the rain forest!!!! And the balcony on the riverbank it was something I really enjoyed. Sarath - the owner of this lovely place, its an amazing man, an excellent jungle guide, professional, generous, and very friendly. It was really nice days that we experienced and we felt right welcome. Finally, there were great tips for our further trip. When we missed the bus just a little, he even drove it miles behind him, so we still get him.

Sinharaja Forest Edge is situated right on the edge of the UNESCO site Sinharaja Rain Forest. The property offers complimentary transportation to the rain forest from Mederipitiya Village. We had a flawless stay at this wonderful place. Everything was perfect, from the impeccable service to the delightful food. The affordable prices added to the overall satisfaction, and the inclusion of a fantastic nightclub made our experience even more enjoyable. A solid 5 stars from us!

Sinharaja Hostel se află în Deniyaya și are o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, un lounge comun și o terasă. The forest tour that was organized by the owner was great, we requested for a short tour as our stay was short. Owner was good enough to accommodate our need, thanks. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and well versed in English. We loved the peacefulness when it hits dark, the hotel and surrounding were extremely quite, the only noises we heard were the insects and frog, we loved the serenity. Food was good and quick. We loved the location of the open restaurant, it was raining at the time, we got real rain forest experience. Rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. We loved the hospitality of the staff. There is nothing to complaint. We would definitely go there once again with kids when we can.

Offering a barbecue and views of the mountain, Rainforest Mount Lodge is situated in Deniyaya. Rain Forest Mount lodge is located opposite the main Pitadeniya entrance to the Sinharaja Rain Forest. Amazing view!! They arranged us a very experienced guide to do a tour in the rainforest. The rice and curry is very tasty. Also the breakfast and fresh juices are delicious. Perfect place to stay near by the entrance of the rainforest.
