It has a very relaxed and chill vibe, and Hans, the host, has plenty of recommendations for hikes, activities, etc. and makes sure everyone is comfortable.

Scenically set by the Oppstrynsvatnet Fjord, the family-owned Hjelle Hotel rests in a lush garden surrounded by mountains. Jostedalsbreen National Park is 5 km away. Everything great and try to book the Wilhelmina room!

Beautiful hotel, with antique furniture in relaxing area. Nice patio outdoors with view on lake. Good location. Amazing food. Renovated barn is part of the hotel and has family rooms for 4 p: spacious and super modern. Basement has heaters for hiking boots and a washing machine. Breakfast was delicious, staff super helpful.
