Situated in Christchurch, 300 metres from Canterbury Museum, The Observatory Hotel Christchurch features accommodation with a fitness centre and private parking. The location is walking distance to everything and on a charming former campus. Breakfast was lovely with many options and delicious coffee. The staff were all friendly and helpful, without exception. We even used the gym, which is small, but we had it to ourselves.

New in 2019, this 5-star boutique hotel is ideally located on Victoria Street in the city of Christchurch, amongst a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars. Rooms were extremely well appointed and perfect sized for two people. Perfect walking distance to everything in City Center, all restaurants and entertainment. Also extremely easy to get to from the Airport there and back on bus 29. Amenities such as espresso pods and tea, milk and sugar in the room made the morning and evening easy. We also enjoyed the free laundry in the 4th floor and we were able to do a quick load. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and knew how to help us get around and get quickly into our rooms when we arrived early.

Grand Suites Lake Tekapo is set in Lake Tekapo. Featuring a terrace, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Newly built & open since September, 2022, this hotel was most notable for its very contemporary decor and amenities, such as a heated bathroom floor, heated bathroom towels, large shower stall, water conserving bathroom faucet, 4 USB charging outlets in the room (2 at the bedside), extremely comfortable king sized bed, phenomenal room views of Lake Tekapo and its surrounding snow-capped mountains, not to also mention the complimentary milk & coffee for the room. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful & professional.

Location and the receptionist was very professional and welcoming. There is also a restaurant around the corner called the Goldfinch which we loved.

Tussock Hill Vineyard Retreats is situated in Christchurch, within 7.8 km of Christchurch Art Gallery and 7.8 km of Canterbury Museum. The property was beautiful, private and everything we wanted. The staff was fantastic and made check in really easy. Close enough to town to get an Uber to and from dinner. The room and outdoor bath were perfect, stunning outlook as well.
