A little of the beaten tracks. this place is a beauty. Very well kept, calm and very comfortable. Host are super friendly and very welcoming. The room was comfortable and despite a shared bathroom still was equipped with a sink. The breakfast was out of this world! You can easily park on premises.

The Riverstone is Canterbury's only 5-star motel (awarded by Qualmark - the official NZ tourism quality assurance organisation). Owners were so friendly. Spa bath was wonderful. Kitchen was well equipped. Had everything we needed.

Set within 29 km of Christchurch Art Gallery and 29 km of Canterbury Museum in Waikuku, Rose & Stream Retreat offers accommodation with seating area. A beautiful place to stay with exceptionally lovely hosts. We were made to feel so welcome. We did not have a car so the host very kindly gave us lifts to the bus stop and even into Christchurch for our early bus to Queenstown. We were unable to get out for meals but the hosts invited us to eat with them for a very reasonable price. Great food and great company. Beautiful garden with stream and secret hanging chairs to enjoy and relax in.
