Featuring a bar and a terrace, Sapientia Boutique Hotel is set in Coimbra, 600m from S. Sebastião Aqueduct and 400m from University of Coimbra. The room was excellent - the view, light and spacious. Very comfortable and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful. Nice surprise was too that they offered us a parking spot opposite the hotel (for residents only - free of charge, safe and super convenient) . The rooftop where you can go for a drink is SUPER too. Breakfast nice and with sufficient choice.

This 5-star hotel is situated in a historic palace. Quinta das Lágrimas offers 3 room types: Palace Rooms once accommodated the Duke of Wellington and Garden Rooms overlook the botanical garden. Loved being able to walk out of the French windows in the room straight into the beautiful gardens. The bed and bed linen were super-comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud.

This was the best experience I have had with accommodations during my month of travel. The staff were extremely helpful, the facilities were amazing, the room was luxurious and the location, perfect. I highly recommend Dona Maria. Also, get the breakfast, it's worth it!

We went for the Festa do Queijo and it was easy to walk to all of the events and literally just about everywhere in the town. It was only about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus station to the hotel so we never needed to call a taxi. The hotel also has a very nice hot tub and swimming pool which we used as well. It sure was nice to soak in the hot tub after a long day of walking, standing and tasting all of the local goodies!

Beautiful property, very comfortable, great and attentive staff. The food was wonderful too. Best breakfast we’ve had in Portugal so far. Truly delicious!
