This family-run hotel is next to the Grövlan River, 2 km from Grövelfjäll Ski Resort. It offers gourmet cuisine, free Wi-Fi and a relaxation area with sauna and outside hot tub. Good breakfast but no fish and not very much fruit or vegetables. The food standard was generally good and we like being able to make a packed lunch from the breakfast table.

Very good breakfast and also there was an opportunity to get some food (pasta, curyy, drinks, snacks) from the automat and it was really good because we arrived at night. The Staff upon our early arrival. CARIN, you are worth your weight in gold.... exceptional customer service, nothing was too much trouble, and couldnt do enough for us. Thank you Carin so much. I didnt really have the opportunity to see other staff, owing to the odd times of my stay, but im sure the whole team Is just as welcoming and proficient! Hotel beautiful..... location .. just stunning! Facilities incredible... hot tub overlooking the lake was fabulous. The breakfast deserves its own mention... sooooo much variety, all top quality food, cooked perfectly, my compliments to the kitchen staff, and the cleaning staff.. the place was spotless! Room sizeable and very comfortable. I wish i could live in this place! Such a positive experience thanks to Carin and the whole team! Well done guys... I stay in 17 -23 hotels all across europe and the eastern block each month,and this is my favourite of all! I will Definitely be back!!!

if you are learning to ski and what the convenience of a resort that has ski hire on site and ski out / in facilities this hotel is amazing , the staff are very professional and helpful , breakfast and evening meals give great options easy to move between resorts on the lifts

It’s a lovely family owned hotel with a very long history. The hotel is very cosy with lots of attention to details. We stayed in the main building and everything was easily accessible for my elderly parents. I celebrated my 60th birthday there and it was perfect with a beautiful mini suite and excellent food and wine. It’s a bit expensive but at least we felt it was worthwhile. So rare to find a good hotel that also has a good restaurant. The outdoor heated pool was a lovely place to relax.

It’s very family friendly. The kids could ride their bikes around. We stayed at the cabin with a lake view; 2 adults and 2 kids. It was very clean and comfortable. The best part was having a veranda right in front of the lake. The reception has a bowling alley; we had great fun.

We traveled to Rattvik for a gig at Dalhalla. The cabin we booked was clean and spacious - a good sized kitchenette, with pots, pans, a fridge etc. The setting is stunning, as it is up a hill from the town/lake, and so the view from the rooms is beautiful. You are expected to clean your cabin before you leave - which wasn't an issue as cleaning products are provided. There is also an extra charge for linen (which is fine, and makes sense given lots of people bring their own). We took the train to Rattvik and so didn't have a car - the walk from the town centre is about 15-20 minutes and is uphill. Would definitely recommend!
