Access codes to building and garage never worked for me A little confusing when you get there with no sign for Honeysuckle Executive Apartments to be seen Bed was not comfy at all

Had everything we needed in the apartment. One thing I really appreciated was having smart tvs in lounge room and bedroom

All was good apart from rain coming through the window in the main living room, just behind TV. Did not affect us, however should be looked at and fixed. I have advised the property of the maintenance issue. Otherwise accommodation was as expected. Staff could be a little bit more welcoming, but again not a major.

Location, was very central and perfect for our stay. Close to bars and restaurants. Would recommend.

Air conditioner didn’t work and a bad smell throughout the apartment. Let reception know but no one could help. They did however offer other rooms to help out.

The window mechanism in the kitchen didn't work which meant the window didn't close. We had to use towels to block out the weather especially when it rained. It would have been nice to know that rooms were being refurbished and to expect there would be some disruption from the construction sounds and smells (epoxy).

The convenience to the Foreshore and the train stations. Easy walking distances especially to Nobby's beach and town.

    Glass bedroom doors

I thought it was a little expensive and didn't like the glass doors to the bedrooms as the one in the main bedroom was that heavy I couldn't completely close it and if you had the light on people in the lounge could quite clearly see you

Attempts to contact the property to organise early check in were unsuccessful. Emails were ignored and phone calls were rude and unhelpful. Room setup was very strange. The bedroom was cramped and clearly used to be a shower. Design of room is poor and awkward. Television was harder to drive than a spaceship and the balcony had been paneled, blocking views of anything but the carpark and dishevelled buildings, instead of harbour views. The room was also very noisey. I didn’t sleep at all and we left early in the morning If the price had been reasonable, I would have been more understanding of this, but for the price it was very disappointing. There’s much, much better value in other properties.

    Good location. Spa was nice.

Three times we asked staff to have the safe in our room opened, however no one ever turned up to do this, so we had to carry our valuables on us. Our text from the property stated the car parking was $20 per day, but we were charged $25 and it was difficult to find an available carpark each time we returned. We received our arrival information via text as I was arriving into Newcastle, it would have been much more helpful receiving this the day before so I could have read exactly where the property was located etc, plus the codes were initially incorrect and the reception had to update the codes to enter certain doors of the property!

Nice clean room that met our expectations. Property is located close to the city as well as the walking paths along the Hunter River. Plenty of options for meals close by.

Staff were very aloof at reception. We wanted to play YOU Tube on the TV but maintenance man couldn’t get it working either, he kept coming back to try different things, we told him to forget about it we weren’t worried and asked him to sort it after we had finished our stay but he kept coming back. I had the call the NEA number to ask management to tell the man not to come back in our room. This was a very unpleasant awkward situation. The safe was locked shut so we couldn’t use it either.

We loved the apartment and the location made it so easy to get around without using the car, the bed was very comfy

I understand the need for it, but all the codes to get in and out of the building are a little tedious. A key card surely would be easier, but i guess not as secure. The key pad to get out of the garage is pretty worn and the buttons need to be pressed a couple of times. There is also an extra charge per day for parking that you have to pre book ($20) and also extra if you want to check in early or out late ($20 per hour) so this is a bit rich on top of the accommodation cost.

Great location, the apartment we had was clean and quite large, we did book a Deluxe 2 Bedroom. After seeing all of the scathing reviews I was a bit worried about staying here, but our stay was smooth and we had no issues (apart from having to evacuate for a fire alarm). When it comes to the staff, were they super friendly, no, but did it look like they were stressed and overworked, yes. They helped me when I needed it and I certainly didn't expect 5 star service.

Staff was unprofessional, never gave us what we requested and make us wait for few hours. Also charged extra for late checkout to my son when they told me a certain price 1 hour before that.

Had problem with the codes duration of my stay. Could not exit the car park in the morning because the code was not accepted. Despite it being 8 am and reception hours. Nobody responded to the buzzer. I had to wait for another car to Leave to follow them out. Could not enter the building in the evening after returning from a walk, because the system would not accept the code. A resident was kind enough to let me in as there was no one at reception help me. My original code for my room was also wrong. I had to go down and get a new one. The stove top in the kitchen did not work. If I’m paying a full tariff for a room, I expect all facilities to be working, especially a stove top and I don’t expect to have so many problems with codes.

Nice room. Great pool. Good location.
