Having painful knees and hips, so many stairs. I didn’t realise the layout of the resort to get to my room but I should have checked snd asked for a more convenient room when I booked. The room was lovely and private.

I sat outside for breakfast it each day and was very lovely overlooking the pool. Continental breakfast was very nice especially the perfect fruit.

Restaurant food ok but quite expensive. Ordered drinks at the pool which never arrived as there was only one person on duty. Original room booked was on the ground floor overlooking the road, unlike the photos which showed a pond view. Ended up having to pay to upgrade get an upper room with view.

Great base to explore Fraser Island. Breakfast delicious and large selection. Rooms comfortable and private. 2 well sized pools, walking trails and tennis courts on the property. Sunset bar is amazing and probably the best place for a drink on the island/our whole trip! Facilities for the car including tyre compressor, petrol station and car wash is helpful too after beach driving.

Poorly organised restaurant staff. Asked for parmesan cheese - forgot. Drinks - forgot. Junior ranger event - not enough bookings. , only one blanket for 2 bed rooms ...and so on. Lacks trained hospitality staff. Reception front desk were excellent

Easy check-in. Nice location. Easy hire 4WD. Friendly staff

There could be more dining options. The Dunes restaurant was shut from Monday thru Thursday so there was only the Asian restaurant or the Sand Bar open.

The pool area was closed for cleaning the whole time. Would have liked to go in the spa.

Beautiful relaxing environment and super quiet. The day spa was amazing. Buffet breakfast was good but wish it was included in our room. Didn’t get the option.

Meals and drinks expensive but OZ is expensive in general and for the location i guess its to be expected.

Going to sleep to the Sound of frogs and waking up with the birds you really feel like you're in the middle of a rainforest. Bed was comfortable but very soft. Room very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good plenty to choose from.

Bathrooms in standard rooms getting a bit old. Not that well insulated for sound between the rooms so can get noisy.

A really impressive foyer , good restaurants and lovely swimming pool. The sunset beach bar is really good for a sundowner- just wear mozzie repellent. Breakfast was excellent with a good spread to cater for everyone.

The resort is a tad outdated, and the bed quality was a bit disappointing. Be prepared if you're on a ground floor room to hear all the footsteps/running of those in the room above you.

Availability of staff to ask questions was great and the area is obviously stunning. The swamp view is surprisingly really nice and I like how the balconies have privacy from the other rooms. Big bar fridges if you're bringing your own snacks and drinks

The food outlets were disappointing, you expect to pay higher prices in remote resorts and I'm happy to but I would like good quality food for that price. The menu at the lobby bar is over complicated, some items tasted like frozen food from a box while other items are probably too labour intesive taking away time on getting the basics right. The pub menu was to be expected, I've had the pizzas here on a previous trip and enjoyed them, this time we had the curry that was edible but nothing to write home about. Next time I would likely book a unit with a kitchen to cook our own dinner.

Comfortable spacious rooms with a nice balcony and view.

The food was delicious, the staff very friendly and helpful. It was truly special waking up to beautiful sounds of all the bird life. Also, watching the sun go down while enjoying seafood, dips and drinks in the sunset bar was spectacular.

Staff smoking too close to the accommodation and in breach of Queensland tobacco laws - by smoking within 5 metres of a building. There is an area near is in very close proximity to the accommodation where the staff members go for breaks. It is right next to the laundry/ linen and baggage carousel drop point which is right next to the accommodation. This area has several no smoking signs - yet I observed staff sitting undercover next to this and socially smoking during breaks. Staff shouldn’t be smoking 5 metres within a building and preferably next to accomodation where the smell wafted in through my balcony. There was also no intro brief upon arrival that discussed a first aid point or emergency form up point - the brief was only about the restaurants and bars nearby. Lastly - there was no indoor ramp / lift for elderly who could not manage stairs. There is an outdoor undercover ramp but nothing to move through the indoor rec centre with ease.

The breakfast buffet, pool and secure dingo proof sanctuary was nice.
