How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

As above.
The air conditioning wasn’t working and was not repaired although we reported the problem. We were freezing during our 3-night stay. They offered to move us in Day 2 but we have already unpacked. They offered a refund equivalent to less than half one night’s cost which we exchanged for late checkout. Otherwise the kitchen is conveniently equipped. The telly in one bedroom is only 24cm and it didn’t work all the time. The 2nd bedroom does not have a telly. Very convenient to have a washing machine.

We asked for one room with a large double bed and another with two singles but we were given two rooms with double beds. It wasn't a huge problem because it was only one night.

The lift!!!! You should have a service lift for the cleaner and delivery. It took forever to get available lift.

The oven in apartment did not work

There was renovations happening, it felt run down. The pool was awkward to get to, with paint peeling off the ceiling. Lack of signage, meant you had to walk around the floor level to find the location. It was dark in the pool area. Odd signage all around the pool, which sort of conflicted each other sign. Dryer in our room was on the wall, with the buttons at the top - at the ceiling, so had to stand on a chair to work it. Knob fell off, it clearly wasn't safe to use. Shower water pressure was like a dripping tap. Our room was on level 2, which doesn't have a lift, so we had to walk up stairs, only a short set stairs, but one of our group was heading overseas and had 25 kilos in suitcase. Air conditioning unit was located in a cupboard just outside the bedroom - was very noisy.
The room was comfortable enough, if you are simply there for sleeping. We chose this place as it had a pool, as opposed to a similar place without a pool. Sadly, it didn't meet our expectations.

No hand towels provided, only single plugs by bed so had to disconnect the bedside lamps, Shower drippped loudly for hours after use, (room558b)
Location great close to central station and light rail. Reasonable size and good use of space (kitchen) Friendly staff . Comfortable bed.

I didn't like that we left a hard drive in the apartment, and when we called back to pick it up, it couldn't be found.
Was easy to get in and out of the apartment and the location was central to our needs.

Need to have more than one person on Reception. There was quite a delay checking in and out . Also, urgently need to get the second lift fixed. That is a safety hazard. Needs immediate attention.
The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and met our needs.

The apartments facing the rail line were very noisy, even 15 stories up and with the windows closed. I was expected at least a little dining table based on the photos but there wasn't one, just a desk. The pool area required some serious maintenance and didn't seem to get checked/cleaned regularly. For example, we came in to find a swimming nappy left near the spa and it remained there for several days.
Location to central station was excellent. Room was fitted out well, comfortable and clean. The kitchenette was basic but functional.

My first room smelt strongly of bleach… at first i thought … hm good sign … Then my mouth started to burn my skin became itchy … once again I thought is this me ??? Tried to put up with it .. but it was physically unbearable.. and I live with somebody who uses a lot of bleach .. so I am used to the smell. So I went to reception.. the amazing lady .. just sorted a new room immediately… As soon as I got into my room .. i could breathe. Very grateful. So its nice to know people are being vigilant in the war against germs .. however this was overkill .
Location.. it was super high .. so the view was interesting. My bed was very comfortable. **** the lady on reception *** who booked me in was GOLD STANDARD … 10/10 ..

We had a dual key situation with our friends. Not having to use the keys to come and go each time would have been easier but not sure how that could be arranged. A minor irritation.
There had been confusion (on our part) with a double booking. The Reception Staff were so very helpful and as it had been a long day with a postponed flight we were grateful for their assistance.

only 1 lift is servicing for floors 11th - 28th. But it was ok to us as we avoid peak time.
I got the room on 25th floor, big room with nice city view, good location, walking distance to Geroge Street & China town.
