Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe internet connection is bad, and there's none in the (otherwise very nice) business lobby - dropped out of a Zoom meeting 3x in an hour. The rooms could do with some redecorating, they are a bit old fashioned, and the dead deer heads on the wall above the bed should definitely go. I'm not sure about the (living) fish in the lobby pools: they are beautiful, but is it good for them to live in a 30cm shallow pool? They are big, I think they should be in a decent aquarium.
The room was fine, quiet, comfortable. The hotel lobby is huge and nice to sit at. Breakfast was fine. The location is great, just by a little local train station and 10' from the main station.

GermanyThis hotel was perfect for me - I was on a train for 7 hrs, ran a 10K in Bräunlingen, then walked to Donaueschingen, and this place provided exactly the satisfying rest I needed. The staff were so pleasant (and spoke English, which made my life easier), everything was straightforward, the decor was very fun, and the room was clean, super comfy, and quiet. It was excellent value for money and I would absolutely stay there again.

RomaniaThe rooms do not have air conditioning and when I first entered the rooms I thought I had stepped into a sauna. The staff could at least draw the curtains on the unoccupied rooms so that there is no greenhouse effect.
The rooms are nice and the staff was doing their best.

South AfricaDuring the day you do hear the train if windows are open, as the train tracks are right infront of the building.
The rooms were large, great space. Different but interesting decor. And close to the station. Good breakfast as well.

United KingdomTh only thing I didnt like is the room decorations. why on earth the have artificial heads of dear over the bed. I also think that the main hall with a pond and fish is out of date. It must cost a lot to maintain it. They also use 100s of old type of lights not LED so it must cost fortune in upkeep. Plase needs updating and sizing down.

United KingdomThe hotel felt dark and deserted; no restaurant and no facilities in the room; no tea or coffee. Bar and restaurant closed. Atrium dark and gloomy. The hotel seemed virtually empty but we were given a room far from reception. We did not have breakfast.

United States of AmericaWhere to start? It feels like the hotel was built in the 80s with just a few updates since. There is no air-conditioning in the hotel and it's right on the train tracks, so if you want to sleep, you need to leave the windows open for the airflow, but then you can't sleep because the trains wake you every time one passes . Also, there are fake dear heads on the wall, which just adds to the forest green carpets and red walls. My friend and I called it the murder hotel.
It existed and we could walk from the train (approx 20 mins)

Sink water didnot flow for 2 days. They could not fix the issue. 3rd day they asked to change room because they were not able to fix the issue. Overall bad. Not for young people. Also not for people who wants cleanliness. Nothing in the room lime water or coffee or ironing for dress etc. Room phone not working. You cannot contact reception from the room.
