We had a wonderful stay at the Chateau with friends for two nights. The property is gorgeous and very well-maintained inside and out. The rooms were large and extremely comfortable and each suite had its own individual character. The manager, Francois made sure our stay was exceptional and provided information about the best things to see and do in the area. He also cooked a lovely traditional French meal and we dined in the beautiful kitchen with other guests.

Beautiful chateaux!!! Quiet; peaceful And VERY relaxing! This is what we needed! Breakfast was out of this world ! Swimming pool gorgeous! Rooms beautiful and very clean! Shame we couldn’t stay longer! Thank you Francois for lovely stay & for looking after us! He even drove my husband to the chemist to buy some products.

It can sometimes be hard to find a taxi from the chateau. You should though rent a car.

The property was very nice, the breakfast was very tasty and the Maitre d’Hotel was very kind and helpful. He called us many taxis and was very jovial. We’d recommend this chateau to others visiting the area.

Very bad or no internet connection. No television connection. A pity. There was a connection problem and no TV card available. Francois apologised. Dinner and breakfast were fabulous though!

Francois is very nice. Entertaining. He is a really good cook. Dinner and breakfast were great. He also recommended Bruno who organised a guided wine tour.

Chateau la Moune is a beautiful, charming property, but the highlight of our stay was our host, Francois. Francois has a passion for hosting and ensuring guests have an exceptional stay. His cooking is excellent - we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner we had on our first night and his freshly made croissants, orange cake and flan pâtissier for breakfast. He made coffee for us on the mornings we didn't have breakfast and tea in the evening. Francois spoke very good English and has a great sense of humour. Our room was clean, spacious and fresh every day (clean towels, bed, etc.). The lounge room, dining room and outside area are all comfortable, and the pool is great on a warm day. Merci beaucoup, Francois!

Even thought close to the main road was very quite. The host was very accommodating throughout, happy to answer any questions we had a very pleasant stay and were made to feel confirmable by the host at all times.

The host was exceptional - and he made us feel both welcome and special. He cooked us a fantastic meal, with extra attention to detail. His service had a professional, caring, personal touch and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was also excellent. The chateau had great charm and was full of character. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, warm, with a comfortable bed.

A perfect stay driving en route back to the UK

We were made incredibly welcome with our two dogs & had been allocated a room with French windows straight onto the enclosed garden - just perfect. Francois is an excellent host, entertaining plus a fabulous chef!!
