Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was situated at the back so there was no view and there was building works going on as well. There was also a foot path just in front so I could not leave my curtains open and had to close the door at night too.
The location was superb. Very convenient for the beach and restaurants. We had to take a bus to go into town but it was just near the hotel. The breakfast was adequate and there was plenty of fruit.

ItalyWe were in 4 in a room, the only negative remark is the wardrobe missing, so shoes, clothes, towels, bags and children’s toys for the beach were always there, it mas quite a mess in a room.
Very good location: right on the beach, friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner. If you want to go to the center of Hyeres, you need a car (or a bus), but it is not a problem because the hotel has a nice parking

GermanyThere's no lift and the staff could be more helpful. Our room was hard to find and we had to ask twice where to go until someone came with us. Nobody helped us with our baggage. Male receptionists could at least offer to carry heavy suitcases for women upstairs. In general, the staff could be a little bit more friendly. If you pay around 200€ per night you don't wanna be addressed like a small child by the receptionist that the towels are not for the beach even though you haven't even used them there. The tone was inappropriate. The water pressure in the showers is very low, which is extremely disappointing for a hotel like that.
The location is great. Directly at the beach.

Irelandthe floor in the room was not clean. missing few hangers on the walls around bathroom area / to keep wet towels once used the main meal in the dinner buffet that was our only option for meal the evening we've stayed, was not good / not for the price charged if you don't eat fish and mushrooms which were in 'both' offered meals
all receptionists that we've met were really friendly and nice, well spoken English (in our case) and very helpful and accommodating, nice spread of food choice for breakfast

Nice rooms with balcony. Comfortable beds. Safe enclosed parking. Nice and easy access to the beach. Easy access to public transportation into Hyeres and out to the ferry to Hyeres Island. We loved the place and will go there again. Also very good breakfast and restaurant services with decent meals

GermanyA bit expensive being in April and considering the really basic fit-out and comfort. A few things are more camping than a hotel. The bar was unattended all the time, we could not get a glass of wine at night or a coffee in the morning.
The hotel's fit-out is very basic but rather functional. The location on the beautiful beach is great.

FranceThe hotel is very big and I had a dungeon feeling during my stay and no lifts. Dinner was good but not many options.
The breakfast was very good and the location is very close to beaches. The pool was very clean and staff were very friendly at pool. Though the beach was not very clean and impressive but the location is very good.

Irelandonly negative would be the distance from the port town or main town. Since the bus service ends early and with not many taxis around I would recommend getting a car, scooter or bike to get around
clean, comfortable and the beach at your doorstep.

United KingdomRoom had a shower in the bedroom separated by a curtain so you wake everyone up if you decide to get ready earlier. Room therefore gets hot and steamy. Didn’t like it. Not family friendly for this reason. No lifts! Dining area cold and unwelcoming although super choice of food for breakfast.
Great location. New discovery the peninsula was with its palm tree lined roads and restaurants in the buzzy bit of town right near the hotel. Free parking. On the beach. Indoor heated pool. Fab breakfast. Didn’t use spa so can’t comment. Buff staff. Great good looking employees!

SwitzerlandI have stayed at many Ibis hotels and this one did not meet my expectations. The eggs at breakfast were literally not eatable, felt like mixed powder and ham seemed of a low quality. We decided to book this hotel as it featured a great looking swimming pool and fitness room. When we arrived at 18.00 we were told the fitness room is closed for the day and swimming pool is closing in 30 minutes. For such a popular chain of a hotel this has been a disappointment, especially for the price of 170 EUR per night, I would expect the facilities to be open longer. The room was situated in another building, but the corridor seemed dirty.
The hotel was in a nice location and staff in general very friendly and attentive. It consists of the main hotel and other buildings where you find further rooms - depends how much you decide to pay. The area outside was nice and is close to the beach as well. We also had dinner at the restaurant. The taste was not that bad but choosing a restaurant outside would be a better decision.
