Nothing - everything was perfect!

This was a fantastic stay with my family for two days. A total pleasure to meet the hosts, who were extremely friendly and helpful by suggesting local attractions and places to eat. The house itself is in the best location - being a stones throw away to the beach one direction and all the shops you may desire being of equal distance in the other direction. It was nice that you were allowed in the sitting room at any point you desire, where there is a TV and comfy chairs everywhere. The location being so close to everything made up for no breakfast as a quick 2 minute walk finds you outside Cafe's, Greggs or the Golden Arches (McD). You could if you wanted bring back food and eat in the the sitting room, where there are a selection of plates and utensils available. We really enjoyed staying here.

Outside look, dated, needs a lick of paint. Photos online are not current, old photos and does not truly represent how it looks outside today. This said its lovely inside, old style, dated but very clean and comfortable.

Staff very friendly, welcoming! Large rooms, quiet at night. Perfect location. In the small living room type area downstairs there is a microwave and plates etc if you wanted to buy things to keep in your fridge in your room.

Loved the staff, very friendly and welcoming, felt like a home from home :) Also loved the history of the hotel, parking and the location was perfect for us. The room was stayed in was huge, very surprising given the normal size of hotel rooms these days. They also very kindly accommodated for our dog with a bowl, some treats and a few extras, it was a lovely experience and we felt so welcome, thanks everyone!

Only thing that let us down was that it was extremely windy!! Obviously not the fault of the Dene wood Hotel!!! Otherwise nothing not to like.

Amazingly friendly staff. Lovely beach very near, although hilly walk back up. Very comfortable room. Close to Boscombe centre for buses & shops.

Toilet seat hit me in the back when sat on toilet. Bit tired, curtains hanging off one end but value for money.

The host was lovely, very welcoming, helpful and nothing too much trouble.

We could have done with a couple more pillows each so we could sit up in bed comfortably. However, we never got round to asking Pam. I think she would have accommodated the request if we had, but it might be good for them to know for future guests.

Pam was wonderful. She was great at giving advice on where to go to eat and giving directions to various places. She was really friendly and welcoming as was Alan on check in. The view from our room was beautiful. We could see the sea at the end of the road. The room was lovely and light with two big windows. We had coffee, tea and biscuits which was replenished the following day.

The only downside is the exterior of the building - it does look tired and in need of a lick of paint...but once you enter the building everything is absolutely spotless and the exterior is immediately forgotten!!

We had a lovely large room which was tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfy and the room was spotless!! Alan was the perfect host who made us feel welcome and went out of his way to book us in for a third night keeping the same room.

We had a huge room, bed and sea view! The hosts were super friendly and helpful and always made us feel like we were at home. The hotel was nice and quiet, a few minutes walk down to the beach and to all the shops in Boscombe. It made for such a special few days and we would definitely return.

The owner Alan was very friendly and helpful and checked us in early upon our arrival. The room was clean and comfy. Alan advised us of the best places to eat and how to get to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Lit bit old everything special in bathroom

We like location, really close to the beach around 5 min walk, and also to city centre 5 min walk.Big room super size, Very friendly staff, gave us so many information about what we need Was super comfortable bed and in room we had small dinner table, and small fridge it's very helped
