  • The Swan Inn Review score: 6

“Very disappointing to find that breakfast and evening meals were unavailable, despite requesting these when I booked. The website and even the board outside referred to menu choices.”

  • The Duchess of Cornwall Review score: 10

“Everything was excellent, room, dining, breakfast and staff”

  • Anglebury House Review score: 7

“Easy to get to by bus as it stops just outside. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Compact but comfortable room with ensuite shower. Slept well and it was clean with tea and coffee facilities, towels and shower supplies. Nice breakfast in the morning. We did require breakfast earlier than the start time of 8:30am and we were charged an extra £10 for our request.”

  • The Countryman Inn Review score: 9

“Such a beautiful place just off of the road and set back in a lovely quiet spot. Very friendly staff and a beautiful room with plenty of space and facilities. I love the fact that I had my own room off of the main double room. Would be a great room for families with small children. Bonus is that they are dog friendly as well so I will be returning here with mine. Very nice food at a reasonable price and a good selection of drinks etc available. A really nice breakfast with help yourself to cereals, toast, tea, coffee etc and your main hot food order was taken and served fresh to your table. A good selection from the menu.”

  • “An extraordinarily loud DJ set in the bar on Sunday evening gave us pause when we arrived, but it was barely audible in our room and anyway stopped at 9pm. We returned from dinner in town after it had finished, so it didn’t trouble us at all. The room was cozy, comfortable, clean and quiet, and only a few minutes’ walk from the middle of town.”

  • Westley B&B Review score: 10

“We were met at the door by Jenni and shown to our room. It is a lovely house and the bedroom was very comfortable and had sole use of the next-door bathroom, which had a bath and separate shower. Breakfast was cooked by Ian in the morning with the usual range of full English items, as well as a great selection of cereals, yoghurt and fruit. It was great to chat with our hosts, who provided a good deal of local info, as well as being really nice to chat... The location of the B&B is great, being in Uplyme, out of the manic traffic that can be Lyme Regis on a Bank HOliday, but the River Lim trail is literally right next to the house, so it's an easy walk (1½ mile) into and back to Lyme. This is mostly tarmac but with a bit of track over a field, but did not require walking boots. It's also relatively flat, following the river which makes it better than staying in some parts of the town, which can be very steep and hilly. There was parking right outside the house and the place is so quiet, so after our dinners in town and a nice stroll back to the B&B we slept well. A great couple of nights and highly recommended...”
