Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe location of that place is amazing. It's nearby Bayswater and Paddington and you can easily walk there and go nearly anywhere you want from there. The hotel is looking very nice, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast is good as well.

The family room was wonderfully spacious. Beautiful high ceilings and lots of room for our family of 4. Location was great and it was peaceful and quiet.

FranceWe were relocated in a different hotel : Central Park Horel which was a few minutes walk from Hyde Park Boutique Hotel. Only one elevator was working and the hotel itself wasn’t very welcoming.
Location is great, very central. You can walk to Hyde Park or Oxford Street easily. Paddington is very close and there are lots of buses and tube stations close-by.

PolandI got a room in the basement - there was no mention of dark basement room when making reservation (otherwise I'd choose other hotel), and photos show high floor room with windows - so it is misleading. I asked at the reception about this and I was told this is due limited availability (I was checking in in the morning). Wifi was horrible, and due to basement location, I couldn't even use my mobile data plan (no reception), so it's impossible to work in the room. Rouo could have been cleaner, toilet requires refresh (mold in the shower cabin)
Convenient location, nice building and area. Single room was pretty spacious - considering London standard in the center. Bed and linens were comfy. Breakfast was simple but very tasty.

PolandI got room in the basement, with very little sunlight. There was no mention about the basement location when I was booking, and photos on the website were clearly taken on upper floors, so this is misleading. If I knew, I would have never booked the room. Wifi was horrible, it barely worked. Due to a basement location I couldn't even use my mobile data. Don't expect to work in the hotel room. Room cleanliness is average - I had some sticky drink spills (I hope) on a night stand. Bathroom was rather clean, but required some refreshing (a lot of mold in the shower)

IrelandThere are 4 floors in the hotel and there is no elevator. There was no wash cloths available. There were very little sockets in the room.
The location was ideal with restaurants and bars within walking distance, as well as Paddington station being only 10 mins away on foot. Staff were nice and helpful and quite approachable. The bed was comfortable and clean, and each day we would come back to fresh towels and a clean room.
