The service is faultless, staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The rooms are spacious and maintained to a high standard. We enjoyed the complimentary cocktail on arrival!

I’ve stayed here four times before (always at a higher price) and been very happy. This time, it felt like the quality is really dropping. Staff, whilst attentive, seemed unhappy to be there; in the bar, there were no pleasantries and smiles with me or other customers, yet staff were laughing and smiling with each other - I suspect you need to treat them better and be aware that it shows to your customers when you don’t. The maintenance also appears to be being ignored - in Room 523 both the sink and shower taps were dangerously unsecured and the door closer was mangled badly. The tap issues could easily lead to leaks - and guess what? Whilst I was checking in, I witnessed a conversation between the (nice) man on reception and another customer who’s stay had been ruined by a leak! Call a plumber, get the bathrooms checked and repaired - it’ll cost you ten times more if you don’t! I can see you’re under price pressures, but I’m unlikely to stay again - so is your approach right to dealing with them?

The room was very modern and clean. The option to have a bar token instead of room clean on second day was appreciated. Very classy reception and bar area. A short walk from all the attractions of the docks and riverside.

Lighting throughout the hotel dim, very trendy decor but the tiles in shower were a little old & worn. Lifts relatively fast but small & a little cramped.

Upgraded on arrival, very pleasant check in staff. Large room with view of the Mersey, nice tea,coffee choice in room & also chocolates and biscuits. Sky sports in room a bonus! The hotel is well situated to explore the docks & Liverpool one.

I called reception asking for a face flannel as there wasn’t one in the room, gentleman on reception said he’d call back and never did. Rainfall shower was lukewarm and poor pressure.

Good location, boujee decor and friendly staff. Rooms pretty standard but clean and comfortable. Bar and restaurant on site, mid-priced. Left our luggage with the hotel on our last stage who took good care of it.

Rather expensive for its locality. Shower was luke warm, couldnt book evening meal or breakfast on internet, kept taking us too booking an event page. Rather far out from centre so would expect better parking facilities, even pickup had to pay, double yellow lines everywhere, too many car restrictions in the area.

Appreciating that I visited during a busy weekend (2 Liverpool matches and Annual Cheltenham Race) the breakfast was a little slow and could be more slightly more expansive.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, despite a dripping show noise, with amble room to work if required. The breakfast was decent, scrambled eggs could use some work, but overall very satisfying despite the limited options.

Food was awful. Cooked breakfast was cold, tasteless starters and disappointing mains. Drinks overpriced. Rooms were tiny and so DARK! Bad decor, it was like a teenager from the 1960's designed the wallpaper. My brother's wallpaper was faux suede and so dusty! Terrible lighting. Windows that don't open made the rooms airless. Couldnt wait to leave actually. No niceties in the bathroom, not even a decent mirror to do your lippie. No parking either which was again, disappointing. On our last day they let people in with wet dogs. I like dogs but not when they have that particularly pungent smell and are shaking themselves dry while I'm at breakfast. BUT the staff were very nice.

The staff were amazing! From FOH to bar and restuarant, I couldn't fault their service, truly exceptional. The design and decor of the building however

I was shocked when I booked the club deluxe room I have stayed at Malmaison before but the club deluxe room just was the same as the normal room I stayed at before just a slightly bigger bed
