Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly negative was the room was so warm, even with the aircon on (which you couldn’t leave on all night as it was so loud) the room just didn’t cool down. The heating seemed to be on full wack throughout the hotel and it was a little over bearing. Especially at breakfast. Maybe because we’re northern and can handle the cold better but it was too much.
Great vibe, love the decor. Lovely rooms, decent size. Really nice rooftop bar. Staff are super friendly. Great choice for breakfast.

NorwayMy only regret was that I just missed the cut-off time for the pool on the day of my arrival, but thanks to Rowan, I was able to enjoy it the next day instead. Wish I could have stayed another night!
I go to London at least once a year, usually for one night only. What I look for in a hotel is a central location, value for money, and fast and efficient service, as my time is limited. This time, I had some extra money to spend, and I could not have been happier with my choice. I primarily chose the NYX for its style, facilities (particularly the pool), and location. London being what it is, I've come to expect a lower standard than advertised, but the NYX is a happy exception to this rule. The rooms are extraordinarily spacious, and well laid out. The bathrooms are modern, extremely clean, and make great use of the space available. Again, unusual to see in London. While the property shows signs of being repurposed, what the NYX does quite cleverly is make the quirkly layout part of their overall style, which was a delight. Regardless of how well furnished a hotel room is, I tend not to use furniture other than the bed, because I rarely find it comfortable or convenient. At the NYX, however, I loved and used both the chair and coffee table, and would have used the desk had I stayed there for longer. I had to take a picture to show my husband, as he makes fun of how picky I am when it comes to hotel furniture! The pool is spacious, and both it and the general spa area were meticulously clean. This was true for the hotel overall, particularly the rooms. It's possibly the cleanest and freshest-looking hotel I've stayed at in London. The decor manages to be quirky and unique without being gimmicky, giving an overall modern, fresh, and interesting look. I didn't have much time to spend at the bar, but the staff were friendly, and the free-play arcade machines were a lovely touch for a geek like myself. I would like to give particular praise to Rowan at the front desk, who helped me out when my plans unexpectedly changed, and I suddenly had four more hours before the next leg of my journey. He absolutely made my day! I will definitely be returning.

United KingdomGenuinely I can't fault the place!
Wonderful staff - Destiny checked us in early and offered us an early check in and a room upgrade. She was so friendly. As was Rowan as we left. So nice to offer left luggage facilities for us too. Hotel was well appointed throughout - very funky decor which we loved. Great location just 5 mins walk from nearest Tube stop.

United KingdomOnly minor niggles. The shower wouldn't drain properly but someone fixed it immediately. The whole hotel was too hot. Heating on even though the temperature was unseasonably warm outside. Not environmentally sensible. We opened our room windows but not able to do that elsewhere around the hotel.
Excellent spacious and comfortable room with great view over Holborn. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice and a pleasant dining room looking out over the street. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we loved the tin of fudge waiting for us in our room. What a lovely touch and indicative of the excellent service here. Thus was our 5th stay at this hotel and we sill be back! The location of this hotel is excellent and in easy walking distance to theatres, galleries, restaurants and museums especially when the tube is out of action!

United KingdomDecor was a bit weird, but I get they are trying to be unique and so fair play to them. Shower had some trouble getting hot one of the evenings but it resolved fairly quickly. Burger, chips, and bottle of water on room service was 36 quid - quite steep.
Comfy and spacious with great location. Spa seemed popular though I didn’t have time to try.

Czech RepublicPerhaps, the only hair splitting thing I could pick on was the absence of a few hangar posts in the room where it would have been easier to hang a coat or a bag, and opening the door to the bath room was a bit annoying. Like I said, super minor stuff that could easily be improved. The only thing I regret was not knowing about the place earlier.
I like the style of the place, eclectic, open, very classy. Amazing service, relaxed, very human, yet on the dot, helpful, responsive and caring. Greg, for example, extremely attentive, and like his colleagues at front desk, restaurant, bar, room cleaning, all of them take really good care of you, making sure you feel at home. Room had a nice street view, breakfast was really good, there is a pool, place was really clean, nice comfy bed. And also really, really good location. Truly recommend the place.

IrelandThe road side rooms are not quiet, since, London central has traffic all night especially on weekends. There are charges for even small things such as tea bags, water bottle etc.
Location was awesome with tube station just 2-3 min walk. Room size and décor was perfect. The mattress was so good and was able to sleep comfortably. My favourite in the room - mattress and shower.

SwitzerlandThe pool is not very big and is, from time to time, quite crowded. The hotel can be a bit noisy (there is a bar at the ground floor), although the rooms are very silent.
Great location, spacious room, the overall vibe of the hotel is very nice. The bathroom is a bit small, but it has everything one needs. Definitively recommended for a couple staying in London for a weekend.
