Clean, comfortable rooms, well appointed, attentive friendly staff. Properly cooked breakfast on HOT PLATES!! Very important! Never had a bad experience at the Castleton, Kate is a very good host, the young man who served breakfast is a credit to the hotel, polite and professional.

We had to park away from the hotel, but as promised, our car park fee was refunded.

As a vegan and vegetarian we were very well catered for. Kate the owner, went out of her way to ensure we had as much choice as other guests at breakfast.

It was further away from the town and railway than I thought, about a 20 minute walk, however a very pleasant one along the seafront.

Excellent facilities, absolutely spotless in all areas, lovely decor, delicious breakfast. Very warm welcome. Very accommodating with food preferences, I asked for lactose free milk which was supplied. Would definitely recommend.

Communication was superb. The room was comfortable, quiet despite being at the front and easily slept 3; layout was excellent. Breakfast was delicious; the lady who served us was full of local knowledge. Beach is at the bottom of the road, 5 minutes stroll.

The water pressure in room 10 was poor compared to other rooms family member were staying in. The parking is very limited at the hotel although we always managed to get a space. I am a disabled person who struggles to climb the stairs and I had to climb two sets of stairs to reach our room at the top room 9 although we never asked to be moved , however I was told via email that I would be on the first floor and only have to climb one flight of stairs.

The breakfast was superb and catered to all our needs. You could tell quality ingredients were used. The service was really good and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The decor was beautiful and the cleanliness was of the highest standard even compared to my high expectations.

Everything. All furnishings & food was all high class products. Kate has thought of everything you Need for a pleasant stay. Everything was spotless. The breakfast choice & food was delicious. If your looking for a place to stay in swanage then this is the place. 10 minute walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay & Can not wait to return. We have also recommended family & friends too. Staff are so welcoming & the young male staff at breakfast was very polite. Customer service is 10/10

Kate was a marvellous host. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing so much choice. The position of the Castleton was very good very close to the town and there was a bus stop right outside which I used often.

Not a problem to us but parking is limited and you have to park a street or so away, however there is a way of unloading close to the property and then you can re-park. We enjoyed not using the car and walking.

Comfy room, comfy bed. Hospitality very good, they include decaffeinated tea which most places neglect to put in the room. Plenty of water available. Generous with milk and biscuits! The accomodation was warm. The breakfasts were outstanding and allergy fully taken account of. Generally a really pleasant place to stay. As walkers, we loved that you could walk from The Castleton for our coastal walk and into Swanage for evenings. We didn't use our car during our stay!!!

Only 3 parking spaces, but that can’t be helped!

The hotel was light and airy, very modern and beautifully decorated - it seemed brand new! It was so homely. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large and spotlessly clean, lovely carpets, nice and quiet, the breakfast was superb!! Portions were huge! And so tasty! Kate and her staff were very friendly and kind. I would definitely stay again.

Only thing that lets it down is the parking, it’s not easy to park on the roads close by either as double yellow lines … but everything else about the property is lovely
