How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everyone at The Bedford are incredibly friendly and helpful. Flight was delayed, and they let us hang out in the lounge area. Great location to everything the city has to offer. Would highly recommend!

Trying to get to the carpark. The satnav brought me to the wrong carpark.
Room was lovely and comfortable. Location was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly in a natural way - i really enjoyed my stay.

What an enormously friendly staff! They were so welcoming, helped us with all questions we had(special thanks for fixing the tv!) and we had the warmest check-in and check-out. In most hotels the check-out is merely a formal goodbye, but in this case the lady was so kind. Lovely breakfast with fresh ingredients. Very large beds, big rooms, impeccably clean. Loved the lounge downstairs for coffee and some chat. Nice neighbourhood with restaurants and shops, perfect location. Great information and guidelines from the hotel. We truly recommend!

It is a first time I see hotel giving breakfast from 8 am. It is a pitty I have missed it. Normally hotels are giving breakfast sine 6:30/7 am. But they are giving you some water and cookie as a replacement if you can not join breakfast, so thats ok.
I could not try breakfast as it was starting from 8am :( but the menu looked delicious. Hotel is 10-15min walk from bus station. It has kettle and towels in the room. In general everything is fine.

The whole room was lovely except for the shower. The door was a very tight squeeze which put a damper on my evening
The staff member that looked after me when checking in was so friendly and courteous and very helpful in giving me all the information I needed to know. She told me about Breakfast which I knew I wouldn't be able to make and she made arrangements for me to have a lovely take away bag with pastries and fruit.

The rooms were really superb - spacious, modern, well-equipped, clean - and a wonderful shower. The Bedford is located minutes’ walk away from St. John’s Castle, the Hunt Collection, St. Mary’s Church, The City Art Gallery, and many good restaurants. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast was excellent.

Excellent location, comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Great recommendations for local pubs with music and nearby restaurants.

Delighted i booked the bedford...we arrived late but that was no problem ..the property is so well managed ...the staff are so friendly and helpful ..the room was beautiful and so cosy ...right in the center of everything we were only a short walk from king johns castle..breakfast was really nice great choices on the menu ....will def be back again

Everything was great!
The room was beautiful and comfortable. They provide robes and slippers. We enjoyed the lounge area as well. Breakfast is in the restaurant below. Great food! Parking is in a garage within a 5 min walk.

The staff and reception were very lovely and accommodating, the room was excellent and the location is pretty much in the city centre, close to everything. (Lounge area where you can get tea is also very helpful and nice 👍 I also got a welcoming card in my room, which was very nice 😁👍) I would very much recommend this place and I may plan this place again for another visit to Limerick City 😅 Sorry if this post comes off as too gushing over the place, it was really that nice of a place 👍

Our only difficulty was getting directions via GPS.

Everything was 10 out of 10. The central location in this beautiful city was perfect for us as more mature( late 60s and 70s) users of public transport. The breakfasts downstairs in the restaurant were just outstanding....absolutely no problem for them to feed a vegetarian who did not eat eggs but did eat all milk products. It was really impressive as to how the staffnot only worked together as a team but seemed happy doing so. Would stay here again in a flash! E

Nothing negative- a really fabulous stay.
A surprisingly modern and high quality finish to the rooms. Excellent sound proof windows- can't hear a thing when windows closed! Beautiful aroma throughout entrance hall and around the corridors. Perfect city centre location. Cafe attached downstairs with great menu, lovely food and perfect coffee! Staff at breakfast we just lovely!

Limerick had limited eating options. It was a Wednesday evening and many restaurants open at the weekend.
Really nice room with very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and the hotel is clean and well appointed.
