How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No tea/coffee/kitchen towels in the kitchen.
The staff was very friendly. Location is perfect. The room and the bathroom were clean.

In our room, the matress needs to be changed, it is very unconfortable (it has a gap in it).
The location is great, if you like Navigli. The walk till the Duom is nice (40 minutes walk). It is near the subway.

At the beginning I thought about the location, is mid residential but it is ok If you want to rest.
Good place to stay, clean beds bathrooms and the personnel is good as well, I will stay there again if I go to Milan,

The plugs are not strategically located, especially for people having their bed up in the dormitories.
The location was great, and the bathroom was really nice.

It was the First time I was staying in a dorm and I hope it will be the last. I'm not a big fan of sharing rooms with 6 other people . The bedroom, though clean and comfortable was a bit tight to lay down luggage for packing especially when the room was occupied. I had to wait for everyone to leave the room in the morning just to enjoy it. Some space for keeping soap/shampoos in the shower would be good. The male dorm has its bathroom outside which in hindsight is actualy a good idea. The subway is a 10 min walk on either side which is not bad. There are a few restaurants nearby and Douglas knows most of the owners there.
The star of this property... is undoubtedly it's amazing co-owner Douglas! He made me feel so welcome and comfortable the minute I walked into his property. When I had to extend my stay for a day, the hotel was booked tight and Douglas offered me a private room at his own house nearby which was simply amazing and so thoughtful. He was quick to respond to my messages and he even dropped me back to the hotel the next day the whole drive sharing with me his anecdotes of the locality and it's features. Absolutely loved my stay here and will certainly return only to meet Douglas and his amazing wife and their charming home.

Maybe a brighter bulbs in the kitchen area can be nice:)
Staff extremely nice and helpful. Bath room is extra ordinary!! Clean. Has a small kitchen and balcony. Easy to reach by public transportation (10 minutes walk from metro, in the mid way a big supermarket) or 4 minutes walk from tram . 15 minutes from the tunnels happy area.

The primary issue with the hotel is the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. You can hear people in other rooms flushing the toilet or taking a shower which is pretty annoying during the night. Additionally, the hotel price is excessive given the quality of the facilities provided.
The location was great within the crowded and safe area of the Navigli district. There are many restraunts and bars nearby that you can enjoy eating and drinking. The staff were helpful and they fullfill our additonal request. The room was big for two people and it was very clean.

I was impressed how friendly and welcoming the staff was. The bed was comfortable and also wanna admit the big bathroom. I enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay for one more night. I'll definitely come back here next time I travel to Milan!!

The only problem for me was the noise. Nothing exaggerated but both nights it was a little loud in the morning.
Loved the location, very near to Navigli. The place was very pretty and staff was so kind.

It is oldest and new modesty. It is good for work vist but not enough for family. They are honest and the hotel is in good location for silence.
