Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBathroom lights flashed the whole time - unable to use. No massage available at the hotel even though stated on website. You can't have your own drinks/ snacks around the pool. No safe in the room.
Breakfast was including in our room price, although not stated on booking.com. Crossaints, bacon, eggs, hot drinks and fruit juices - along with cold meats, cheese, fruits - buffet style. 90mins from airport - do the ferry there if you can, taxi back (welcome pickups is an app for taxis - quick, easy and reliable. The hotel itself is one small staircase and a 5 minute walk from the main square. You get a code to let yourself in if later in the evening (past midnight) - safe and secure. Convenient and fairly flat walk in comparison to the rest of Ravello. Close to bus stop (in Scala) - 5 min walk, which takes you to Ravello Beach or Amalfi Beach where you can get boats to anywhere! Clean and spacious room. Shower good, large hairdryer available and iron provided for our stay free of charge. I asked for an additional pillow at 11:30pm and was brought one immediately.

United KingdomInevitably in an old building there were a lot of steps; there could have been more hand rails, The bedroom was a bit short of cupboard space although there was a large wardrobe. The restaurant was closed one day because of a wedding. Howeever there is a very good wine bar just across the road.
At the quiet end of Ravello but wonderful views from the room & the restaurant. A good sized room & bathroom. Helpful & pleasant staff. Good breakfast, restaurant & sandwiches in bar.

United KingdomThe hotel is located a short walk from the main central Piazza, accessible via a small set of steps. It has a lovely restaurant with a terrace overlooking the beautiful coastline. There are also several additional terraces where you can enjoy a drink or some peace and quiet. I was so happy with my choice of hotel in Ravello. A lot of my friends had booked hotels/apartments on the other side of town, which can only be accessed by walking up 90+ steep steps. Anyone with mobility issues would really benefit by staying at Hotel Bonadies when visiting Ravello. The hotel is clean, with excellent views. The staff were all so very friendly and helpful. I also have a gluten allergy, and they really looked after me, with snacks and breakfast options each day. Thank you to all the team at Hotel Bonadies for making my stay in Ravello so comfortable and relaxing.

United StatesAir con in my room seemed a bit weak.
Staff were very gracious and helpful. Restaurant and rooms overlook the sea. Rooms have modern baths, much closet space and a lovely terrace. Pool looked good, but I never tried it. It's a 3-5 minute scenic walk to the main square in town. Behind the hotel is a well developed, stone pavement ,marked trail to the town of Minori. It's all downhill, steep in parts.Took me a tough 40 minutes. It curves around terraced orange /lemon trees-hundreds of them. Then another 5 -10 along the seafront minutes to Majori. Both seaside towns are authentic, charming and offer great places to swim in the sea. But one needs to take a taxi back up to the hotel,as the walk would take hours and hours.
