The pillows were extremely hard and the air-conditioning did not work properly.

The room was clean, the barhroom was clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpful. Very good fruit selection for breakfast

I was missing the variety of the food in breakfast buffet. Also, if you come 1 hour before closing breakfast, plates were almost empty (no omelet, no boiled eggs, no bacon, no vegetables) and staff was not refilling it. It came also as '' a surprise'' that 4* hotel was not offering gluten free bread. Basically it was no savory food there. If you come from a Nordic country you don't eat cakes for breakfast :) Breakfast buffet was the most disappointing there.

I liked the design of the room there the most. Also, it was exceptionally clean, staff was super friendly and service oriented. Location was perfect.

Location is not in the "old town", but 20-minute walk to the Domo, so, fine, you save money by being a bit out of the heart of things.

For what I paid, I was expecting an "economy" hotel, and that's pretty much what I got. Very basic room with a single bed and a small bathroom. Breakfast buffet was better than expected, so points for that. Lots of good restaurants (fancy and fast food) on the street. Staff very helpful.

The breakfast area was quite small and with not much variety of food. It’s located in the basement and in the morning i would rather have some sun light while enjoying my breakfast. Yet the options of food available were fresh everyday.

Very quiet hotel in a great location. It’s a 20/25min walking distance from the main attractions. Friendly staff and extremely clean facilities. Felt more like a business environment than leisure however for me was great as I was able to rest properly.🙏🏼

Hotel d’Este is great. Great location close to the trams and metros. Lots of dining options close to the hotel. Breakfast was basic but practical before a long day in Milan. Rooms are clean and comfortable. My room was in the back of the hotel… not much of a view but very quiet. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking to be outside of the Duomo area but want to be able to reach it easily. It is walking distance to Bocconi university and the Navigli district and 1 direct tram ride to the Duomo.

Our safe didn't open but, again, the staff worked tirelessly to fix the situation.

I was so impressed with the wonderful staff. I accidentally left my mobile in a taxi and they rang around all the companies until they found it!! I was ecstatic. The location is fantastic, right near a tram stop to the city centre. Great cafes and bars around.

Minor complaint - the bed pillows were rather flat, which seems to be typical for Europe.

Nicely appointed room with good sound proofing. Great water pressure in the shower and a delicious breakfast. The hotel is located in a non-tourist area but with excellent transit access.
