Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

United KingdomThe noise from the street. For some reason people leave their cars running whilst stationary. Bin truck was at 5am. Constant cars throughout the night. The bed squeaks really bad. It needs oiled and tightened, a 15 minute job or even replaced. Would have been nice to have been left a bottle of water in the fridge.
The location is great, about a 15 minute walk from the train station and very central to the cathedral which was the purpose of my visit. Nice, quaint apartment in a beautiful part of Trani.

FinlandThere was some algae growing in the water left in the water tank of the coffee machine, it might need better cleaning. There was a bit of rotten like smell coming from the probably the pipes in the bathroom. Nothing too much though. There was no elevator in the building, probably because it is an old one. The plaza next to the hotel was a bit noisy until late night.
The room was fairly clean and comfortable.

Irelandloved everything about Piazetta Scuolonova. I was so happy to have spent two days in Trani which is an enchanting place. Piazetta Scuolonova is set in a lovely quiet little square close in the heart of the historic centre and the Port. A beautiful place to visit.

HungaryI was afraid of the noise at night because of the neighboring restaurant, but at midnight suddenly stopped the noise and I heard next only at 6:30 sounds. So that was OK.
I loved the location, the style of the flat (ground floor). The host was nice. The bed was very comfortable. Tea, coffee bags. Wifi worked well for me. Outside was hot, but inside the temperature was optimal, so I didn't have to use the air-conditioner.
