Cheap high quality surf rental, beautiful surrounding area with rice fields that make for an unparalleled sunset, the owner is super chill and helpful, very comfy bed, plenty of space to hang out. And the surf is wicked!!

A bit far from the Ichinomiya station and you need to take the Torami station which can be long wait times between trains.

Very cozy, was an excellent place to meet many new people. Host was very nice and has good English.

There is actually nothing to complain except that the is the train driver past from time to time.

Top location. The house has the typical old japanese flair and its close to the little supermarket and the train station. There are bycicle with surf racks and surfboards available. Takes you 5 min cycling to the surfspot. The host is an old surfer dude, super friendly and easy going. He will tell you were you should go for surf. If I will visit the area again I would definitely go to this hostel again.

The owner is kind and extremely helpful and rented me all I need to go surfing. The atmosphere is magical, many of the other surfers guests had been there before and were all very friendly and inclusive

The owner !!! Great man, very welcoming and very generous. make you feel home. The best place by far to rent surfboards, little bit far from the beach, but he landed us bicycle which made us feel locals.

It's a long walk to the beach but the hostel does offer bikes with board carrier. The locker is a little awkwardly placed by your head at the top of the bed. Other that that I thought the place was cool

Cosy, quiet hostel just a short walk from the train station. This was a good base for me to explore the coast line when the surf conditions were not good in Toromi. Owner was helpful with suggesting surf spots. The hostel has a good kitchen and plenty of storage for baords and suits outside

Some of the other guests were loud, namely one kid who kept stomping. The indoor showers could use a scrub, too.

They helped me make a booking for a surf lesson the next day. Were very gracious with extras and had handy facilities like an outdoor shower for wetsuits.

all facilities a surfer needs: extra outside shower, bike rental with surf rack, surf and wetsuit rental, good vibe. owner speaks english really well and goes out of his way to help you.

Parking space is quite narrow. only 3 car spaces available in front of the guesthouse. Another parking lot is 100 meter away and still not so big. The personal locker is so small that I always had to carry my bag.

Friendly owner always care of guests. Quiet except weekends. Shower and toilets spaces are efficient and functional. Compact but functional kitchen.

only 2 car park’s beside hostel. but there’s another car park you can park for free but you gotta walk for a few minutes not too long tho

super kind and friendly owner is in there. efficient property to staying for surfing. you can entry shower room from back so that you don’t have to care about floor not to wet. kitchen and common use space is good to chill out I liked it.

Had nothing to do with the property itself, the issue we had was that some of the guests were a little noisy past midnight even though lights out is 11 pm, they were rather on the young spectrum of adulthood but none of it was due to the facilities.

The staff in the location were amazing, he was very helpful when asking about the surroundings or my personal interest in trying fishing in the area, not only he told us where to go but he also offered us to use a rail or a rod he had in case we were not prepared for the fishing endeavour, also gave us information about surfing (since the area is actually famous for it) as well as prices for renting equipment if we wanted to try it. At arrival, he will show you the property as well as the wifi password so you will feel very comfortable from the getgo
