Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceThe location is a bit far from everything but they provide free shuttles between the station and the accommodation. The night was really expensive and although it was a great place, I wouldn't recommend it if you're seeking the best quality/price deal..
The property is absolutely lovely. The room is spacious and magnificent, I loved taking the outside bath. Very splendid view but because of the weather I couldn't see the mount fuji. The staff is really helpful.

Ok, this was the best hotel I've stayed in. Ever. Everything was top notch, room, staff, food. Just incredible very clean and beautiful rooms with a private bath, perfect for relaxation, I didn't want to leave! All amenities and PJs are included. Overall hotel and rooms are very very beautiful. Dinner/breakfast have to be requested separately but they were very good. Location is perfect for a chill walk around the lake and there is a free shuttle bus to pick up/drop off from the train station so no need to walk that far. Mt Fuji is visible from the hotel although somewhat obscured by the trees in front of the hotel, but I cannot put this in 'What I didn't like' section as I love trees and don't want them to be cut down just for the view :D The hotel has a relaxation area in front of it which is very nice bonus

The entire property was very new and in pristine condition. Loved that the shower space was huge. Nice private balcony. The room was comfortable for 3 pax. We added a bed yet it didn’t make things too squeezy. It is up a steep slope but just a 3mins walk down to the lake to see the sunrise. Loved that it was a very quiet area despite being near oishi park. View from the room had a restricted view of fuji (which was mentioned when we booked). But it was still nice

ChileThe location was very isolating, up a steep hill, only thing of value around location was Oishi Park, outside of this the entire town is located on the opposite side of the lake. The view is superior here but we came on a cloudy day and so everything was very far away. No kitchen operating while we were there
The hotel itself was nice, clean and stylish, good beds and bathroom and utilities, the shuttle service was good too

NetherlandsFor the amount of money we paid we expected a bit more when it comes to the things they provide you. E.g. having some bath minerals for the bath would have been great. Unfortunately we couldn't get breakfast and dinner, this was not the fault of the hotel or the staff working and we totally understood the situation. But there were a lot of miscommunications with us and our reservation and that made it confusing. At the end we didn't get any compensations while at the beginning they said we would. It is what it is though, and we enjoyed ourselves.
We liked the interior of the rooms. They were spacious as well. The outside bath was great and it was nice to breathe in fresh air on the balcony with a cup of coffee. Unfortunately we couldn't see Mt Fuji because it was cloudy, but we could imagine it being a lovely view when you see it.

CanadaThe room was not clean enough that we found hair on the floor of the sitting room. The hotel is located on the top of a hilly street, which made us hard to commute to the lake area.
The room has a modern design with a taste of traditional Japanese culture. The staff provided excellent services and were always helpful.
