Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeIt was a bit confusing what to do with the towels. The big ones were dropped off at the public bath but still got new ones everyday. Too much unnecessary washing for the small ones (which can be reused a few days maybe).
Comfortable room, nice public bath experience and great location.

We really liked the decor, staff were so friendly and they speak really good english so communication wasn’t an issue at all. There were lots of spaces to chillout inside the building after a big day out or waiting for flights/ buses and stuff. Great location so close to kombinis and the trains ❤️ we had the best sleep ever the beds were very comfy

United KingdomThe cleanliness of the onsen needs some work, could do with a deep clean in some areas and then ongoing maintenance. The food options weren’t great if I am being truly honest. The bed was low down and was quite firm for my liking.
Location was great. Staff were welcoming and keen to help. The complimentary drinks during the evening were a nice touch. I liked that there was access to an onsen, daily, in the evenings. The rooms are good size.

United KingdomThe front door is locked after 12am everyday, just a mild inconvenience as you can access the back entrance.
The staff were lovely and always helpful, the room was bright and bigger than expected, the location was perfect and they catered for my allergies (coeliac) really well with the breakfast everyday

AustraliaIf the shower is a bit bigger (especially for my partner who is 6ft2), then everything would be perfect!
I was surprised how quite spacious the room is for Japan standard. The hotel uses very eco friendly amenities which I really appreciate. The provided pajamas are so comfy! They have cafe in the first floor, VERY SPACIOUS lounge area in the 2nd floor, and a public bath in the 10th floor. They also have unlimited wines and and just additional 100 yen for beers, I think from 5-10PM. It’s very close to train stations and 10 min walking distance to Dotonbori. It is also surrounded by great stores like 7-11, Yoshinoya, Mos burger, etc. The staff were sooooo lovely. My partner and I really loved it! Highly recommended!

SwitzerlandOur room was a bit smaller than shown in the pictures. The biggest surprise was that there were no showers in this Hotel. The only place to shower is in the onsen (nude zone) while seated. It gets the job done but would have been nice to know in advance.
Located on top of the Metro station with lots of shops within walking distance. There is a spacious common area with a great cafe to grab breakfast. The room was clean and you get fresh towels every day.

SwitzerlandThe room is a little small (at least the one I was in, I believe there are some that are a bit bigger), and they stack two mattress which is comfy but oddly unstable. Room service is only every 4 days. There are no individual toilets per room (but they are high tech in return). AC is managed by the reception so you'll need to ask them if you find your room to hot or cold.
It was a very pleasant stay! The hotel is incredibly well located (there is a stair right in front of the entrance to go down an underground comercial center connecting two metro station that you can walk without encountering road traffic). There is a super cosy onsen (with a sauna!) on the top floor and you get all the amenities you need to enjoy it (btw don't hesitate to put the towels in the basket for it, you'll get another one the next day). The building is extra modern and you can get very good breakfast (there are 4 options, you need to buy them on the day before, before 2AM) in a very nice environment. Everything is very modern and cosy. There also are massage services it seems but I didn't use them. The toilets on the floor are probably the best toilets I've seated on during my whole trip in Japan.

TaiwanI wish I could control the room temperature myself, and the trash in my room can be emptied every day.
The 1F cafe always smelled so good, and I liked the way how they left fresh towers hanging on the door nob everyday. Public bath was delightful.

New ZealandThe dryer would only work on your socks and underwear with 1-2 cycle. Normal clothes took us 3 cycle and still damp with each cycle being 40 mins for 100Yen. Better off to go down to a local laundry Matt which is only 6 mins walk from the hotel. The wall aircon / heater can’t be adjusted on the wall. Got way too hot inside the room & fan provided in each room is weak.
Train station just across the hotel. Staff were friendly!

GreeceOur room was very tiny so we found it difficult to arrange our space with the luggages. Although the room was clean, unfortunately we found a long black hair in the bathroom (me and my partner are blond). The refrigerator made an annoying noice so we had to tun it off, from the windows above the bed we could feel the wind entering along with the sun at 05:30 and the plugs where right above the pillow so it was hard to lay in bad and charge your phone at the same time. Staff don’t speak English.
Good breakfast with small variety and friendly staff. We loved the lobby where we could chill and wait for our check in.

SingaporeThe mattress were a little uncomfortable. The windows were not frosted glass and we could clearly see the road, and the opposite buildings, so we had to shut the curtains when in the room for privacy reasons.
Good location. Short walk from Shinsaibashi area. There are many convenient stores nearby and also a 24h yoshinoya just next door. Also near 2 different metro stops. The area is not too noisy at night compared to Namba.

SpainThe location of the hotel is very good within walking distance of Dotombori. In front of the hotel there is an underground shopping arcade with a subway station direct to the train station and the Umeda neighborhood. Although the hotel reception is a cafe and can be a bit confusing, the check-in was easy and the staff was very friendly. The room was very spacious compared to other hotel rooms in Japan and the shared areas like toilets were very clean. The public bathroom on the top floor was really relaxing because it wasn't very crowded early in the morning, the only drawback was that since there were no showers on the floors you had to take the elevator up there to have a shower. Very good quality-price ratio

AustraliaCleaning was done every 3 days however, 3 days before check out we placed the sign out for cleaning which wasn’t done and our bins ended up getting very full. The hotel also has very thin walls so you could hear the next room sometimes when they were moving chairs around and the hotel may have been close to the emergency services because we would hear sirens often everyday.
The hotel was very spacious! Space to move around and put your luggage without needing to make arrangements. The hotel was very close to the train stations and lots of food options around.

United StatesBreakfast was limited: only 4 options. Everything else is not for free since it’s part of cafe downstairs. Had to buy 60 yen detergent in main lobby in addition to doing the laundry, when first time was given for free.
For only my carry-on and personal items, the room was very spacious. The switch to the light is right next to my bed so I didn’t have to get up. The bath was very nice.
