Rooms are very small, only the size of a king sized bed.

Reception open 24 hours, goods lift for luggage, easy to find, close to NT line. Hosts were lovely and helpful. Able to leave luggage there before checkin and after check out for the day if needed.

Note that the room doesn't contain any furniture apart from the bed and some railings to hang clothes on. If you're planning on staying for a long time this might be good to know. Because we stayed for 7 weeks, we bought some of our own cheap furniture to make it more comfortable. The kitchen is pretty small, so when everybody wants to cook at the same time, you might have to wait. The same is true for the showers: when the hostel is full, sometimes you have to wait for your turn.

We stayed here for 7 weeks, during which Tom-san and Kimiko-san were friendly and helpful hosts. The room is small but clean. The common room is a very nice place to relax. The bathrooms were clean. For the price, it's a great place for staying in Tokyo for a few weeks. If you're planning on spending a lot of time in Shibuya and Shinjuku, this place might be a bit far off. But Higashi-Ogu is a very nice and cozy neighborhood and we loved spending time in Arakawa district. In any case there is a subway stop a few minutes from the guesthouse, as well as several supermarkets and shops within walking distance.

It was lovely The decorations are really cute And the host was friendly We got the chance to interact with other guests and made friends and had conversations. We even played cards together, so even though we were strangers at first, we got to know each other more.

We are group of 3 persons occupied in the room located in 3rd floor. Upon seeing the room we are shock because its too small that we couldn't move from side to side. No chair to sit and side table that we could place our belongings. I can imagine like a 4 corner box. The room is not recommended for older persons with mobility problems.

Room is clean, toilet located outside the room but its okey. There is a separate hot and cold shower and good thing it has a strong water pressure. Location is near the subway station but too far from Tokyo. Owner are helpful and very nice persons that you can chat.

The room was small, and common areas were cluttered. The location is not near the city center.

We liked the price and visiting with the host and other guests. The metro station was a 13 minute walk, and the JR train was even closer.

It seemed that the hosts were money hungry. When you arrive there are additional charges that they don't tell you about upfront. For example, whether you use the kitchen and shower daily or not, you have to pay a charge. This price was also increased partway through my stay. There are also charges if you receive anything at the address and other such petty things. The people sleeping on couches in the living areas is unacceptable - this is due to the place being overbooked and happens regularly. The hosts also need to control their drunk guests noise levels as it really gets out of control and people will party in the rooms throughout the night disturbing those around them.

Tom and Kimiko are really great hosts. They are really kind and friendly and fun. The place is also well located, near a number of stations and close to shops.

Tom is very strong person with ecxcellent knowledge of Japanese and World history. I have liked the whole momemts I spend talking to him.

I can say it was the worst place I ever stayed. Everything in the hotel was very old and very bad. It was like we were using old, discarded things. The bed we slept in was wooden and very old. Every time we turned around it was making noise and we woke up. The only thing in the room was the bed and we had no other space. The hotel owner asked us to keep our luggage outside the room, but of course we didn't want to leave them outside. Since there was no place in the rooms, people left their suitcases in the corridors and the place looked quite crowded. It was not a hygienic and comfortable area at all. Also, the place is not close to the center of Tokyo. However, the neighborhood it was located in was a quiet and beautiful place and that was the only good thing I could say about this place.
