Great location, with a comfortable place to stay! Definitely, worth the value.

There was fresh fruit and avocado in the fridge everyday and you are welcome to stroll around on the premises and pick any of the seasonal fruits. We ate lychee e.g. directly from the tree. It's a must if you visit big island and like to be in the less crwoded countryside.

There is a shared kitchen at the property. Diana was great and very helpful The room was big, well organized with a side door to a joint veranda. She also offered us some breakfast groceries including fresh fruits from the garden trees. Above all the price was by far the best we had in ourxwhole trip in Hawaii

Set within a tropical rainforest, this self-catering accommodation is located in the town of Volcano on Big Island, Hawaii. A kitchenette and free WiFi access are featured at Volcano Alii Kane Cottages. This cottage was the perfect getaway surrounded by beautiful Hawaiian tropical rainforests. It was a 10 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park entrance. This made it very easy for us to go hiking during the day, go to the cottage for dinner and a rest and then come back to the park at night to watch the eruption and lava fountains. I found it majestic listening to the sounds of the rainforest at night such as frogs, other animals and the rain. But if that's not your style, the owners also provide ear plugs. The kitchen and BBQ facilities were great. If you have a car rental then stop for groceries at Foodland or another big supermarket on the way to Volcano. The owners are so accommodating and lovely with lots of helpful tips. They let us use their laundry facilities for free. This is honestly a rare find, highly recommend booking. The cottage really felt like a home away from home. Thank you Susan and Michael for a wonderful stay.

Select suites have French doors that open to a private terrace. We stayed in the Pele Room and it was just perfect!! The 2nd bathroom was a complete surprise; beds were well appointed and super comfortable; the common areas of the house were attractive and welcoming! And, to top it off, Robert was hospitable and prepared a breakfast that would satisfy the heartiest appetite.
