Highly knowledgeable and helpful Manager Mr. Joseph. Very efficient Front Desk Manager Ms. Tejaswini. The entire staff are affable. Nicely kept garden. Variety of Birds sighted. It is a good place for Botanists to learn more about exotic and local species. The proud thing is the State Tree of Karnataka, Sandalwood Trees - santalum album - are naturally grown. An idyllic place for stay and enjoy.

I had a great stay at Mango Tree Homestay. The staff was very friendly and were able to check me in as soon as I arrived, even though it was hours before check-in. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and full of character. Overall a great value. Lakshmi, the proprietor made great dosas each morning, and Mustafa, the auto rickshaw driver, made exploring the surrounding ruins a breeze. I was actually most impressed with Mango Tree by something that happened after I checked out. I had just sat down to eat lunch at a restaurant when I suddenly began to feel very sick. Mustafa took be back to the hotel, stopping on the way to pick up some rehydration drinks. Lakshmi set up a bed for me even though I had already checkout out, and since I was having stomach trouble, even prepared a simple bowl of rice and curd (yogurt). They made a potentially difficult and dangerous situation far more manageable. This is the sort of treatment you'll never get at a big hotel or resort.
