We were not sure how to access the keys at first as we had to enter the black door on the south side first. As there is an apartment in the other half of the house we though we would be entering somebodys apartment by opening the doors. But then the key was easy to find and the apartment was perfect for an overnight stay.

Set just 1 km from Hornafjördur Airport, this guest house offers guest rooms with a flat-screen TV and free WiFi access. The Route 1 Ring Road is right next to the guest house. Reallt nice modern design. We had a mountain view room and it was awesome waking up seeing mountains and nature.

See eraomandis olev külalistemaja asub Islandi ringteest vaid 1 km kaugusel ja Höfni kesklinnast 4 km kaugusel. The property has a huge lawn surroudned by trees, which looks beautifully green and also given some protection from the wind. We loved that it was close to Höfn (supermarket, restaurants) but not in the city, so it is is quiet. The room swere very nice and there is a common room (kitchen + table), as well as tables in the garden where we had breakfast. Alternatively, you can also drive to Höfn for a breakfast, but we preferred the quietness on the property for that.

Excellent location, very convenient to reach all the main attractions. Having a parking lot is a big plus. The view from our room was amazing, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We really appreciated the PIN code access to the room—no need to go to the reception, making check-in and check-out very convenient at any time. Highly recommend!

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Very kind and helpful staff especially woman from Poland.
